"I almost gave this company 4 stars but decided that they earned 5 just based on Carl and Nash (the installers). I work from home with 3 large dogs, but the guys were polite, professional, unobtrusive and did great work! My shower install took 2 days instead of 1, but I have a weird bathroom. ð … The reason I almost only gave 4 stars is for the following reasons: 1. I discussed with my sales consultant in detail how I wanted to partially cover the huge window in my shower that faces the street. The installers didn't know that I wanted it partially covered, but took care of it with no issues. 2. I discussed with my sales consultant that I had to wait until some personal financial situations were out of the way. He said I could schedule the install as far out as I wanted to, and then could contact him to try to move it up once I had everything taken care of. So I did that. I messaged him when I was ready and asked about moving up the date. I didn't hear back, so I followed up a week or 2 later, and he said he hasn't heard back and would message the scheduling folks again. And I never heard back. But the installers showed up for the original schedule and did a great job, so I don't hold that against the company. I may be reaching out to West Shore to replace my sliding glass door, but I'm not ready to deal with that just yet."

"I cannot say enough good things about these folks. It's nice to work with a company that executes with such flawless precision and professional follow through on what they promised from beginning to end. We had just moved to Florida and had a big, outdated "garden tub" in the master bath. Unique Bath removed it and replaced it with a sleek, modern, state of the art shower and surround install that improved the look and feel immeasurably. It made my wife very happy, need I say more? Kudos to Erica/Joe/Joel, they worked within our budget and gave us a great deal, their communication was fluid and consistent. I have to give a special shout out to installer Alex, he is a master craftsman and leaves his workspace immaculately clean. Great people, great product, great performance, talk to them, they will put a smile on your face!"

"I was pretty nervous about having this work done.  But since I couldn't afford a new tub (installation costs yikes!) I opted for the resurfacing.   I got lots of estimates and although Ike's quote was not the lowest, the process he described sounded much more thorough than what others described.  He would sand it, bond the chip, prime it and spray 2-3 coats.
He was punctual and very friendly both when he gave me quote and when he performed the work.  He and his crew (really his family...so nice) put down drop cloths everywhere they walked and covered everything in the vicinity of the tub.  They even had a fan and long hose to vent the fumes out of the house.
When finished, he caulked the tub (we had replaced the tile and hadn't caulked yet) around the walls and reinstalled the drain.   Very clean.  The only thing was he used some sort of caulk that started falling apart after a couple weeks.  Maybe it old or maybe just a cheap caulk.  Not sure.  No big deal though I just pulled it out and redid it with my own fancy caulk.  Next time, I'll hand him my choice of caulk and I know he'll do the job.
He gave us instructions on how to take care of the new surface (cleaning, etc) and we've followed it to a "T".
It's been 6 months and the tub still looks great and the chip fix is still perfect.  I would definitely use Porcelite again.

"Charles has reviewed the project and provided a written estimate of materials and costs. Old wood framing removed, old windows removed. New pressure-treated framing cut to fit and installed. Extra-strength glass ordered. Owner applied window tint film, then Charles installed windows. All sealant and nailing completed. Owner will prime and paint after a few weeks of weathering."

FAQs for bathtub liner or shower surround installation and replacement projects in Maitland, FL

A bathtub liner is a custom, one-piece shell that slips over your existing tub to hide cracks, stains, and chips. Most are molded from tough acrylic or PVC and can include a matching wall surround for a complete facelift. When a pro bonds the liner in place, you get a watertight seal, a fresh look, and an added layer of safety—all without tearing out the old tub.

After a tech measures your tub and orders a made-to-fit shell, installation takes a day. The installer cleans the surface, applies industrial-grade adhesive, and positions the liner in place. They trim the edges, tighten the drain, and run a smooth bead of silicone caulk to lock out moisture. A quick plumbing check wraps things up, leaving you with a ready-to-use tub by the next morning.

You can pick preset sizes or order a liner molded to your tub’s exact shape, then choose from dozens of colors, patterns, and finishes to match—or refresh—your bathroom. A pro trims and fits the shell on-site, so every contour lines up and accessories like grab bars or shelving land exactly where you want them.

If the liner’s material accepts a fresh coating, a professional can sand it, apply epoxy, and restore the shine in six hours for $480. Swapping in a brand-new liner runs $800 to $1,000 and takes a day or less. Refinishing is the wallet-friendly route when the shell is structurally sound, but it won’t last as long as starting over with new acrylic.

Most liners last three to five years. High-quality acrylic, a snug professional fit, and routine cleaning help you reach the upper end of that range. If moisture seeps behind the shell, mold and odors can shorten its life, so keep an eye out for loose caulk or soft spots and call a professional if you spot trouble early.
