"AAA Chimney was excellent. Owner inspected chimney, diagnosed problem, and gave me a quote. I agreed and a date for resealing and installation of a chimney cap was set. Workers showed up on schedule and completed the work in approximately three and a half hours. Professionally done--stainless steel resealing, new piping from furnace and hot water heater to meet code, and steel cap."

"A few weeks ago, high winds blew off my chimney cap. It was installed 15 years ago by a supposedly reputable chimney sweep along with the installation of what was supposed to be a "full length" chimney liner. He also tarred the chimney above roof line.
With my being somewhat afraid of heights, my wife found very good reviews of Safety First Chimney & Fireplace Restoration on another online review site and made an appointment for Tuesday 4/12. Vincent showed up promptly to replace the cap. It took all of 3 minutes.  He showed me a few pictures of my chimney on his phone. I was shocked to discover how deteriorated it was! Half the tar was gone, there were big chunks of mortar missing from between the bricks and some were even shifted out of place. You didn't have to be an expert to see that it needed a complete rebuild. He also mentioned that the liner material was very flimsy. Being thorough he asked to check the base of the chimney at the boiler and discovered that the liner didn't even go to the bottom. He called me down to see for myself. That was the moment I decided I liked and trusted Vincent. He involved me, and let me see with my own eyes what the issues were! Knowing that such an essential aspect of my home should not be ignored, I agreed to have all matters addressed, and made another appointment for Friday 4/15.
Demolition was quick due to the poor condition of the old chimney. Vincent then removed the old liner. It was only 15' long, falling about 7' short of the furnace connector!  He also showed me a piece of the liner. It really was "coffee can thin" and filled with ridges on the inside which collected soot and particles. He installed a smooth core, heavy stainless steel, double walled liner.
Next came the "roof up" chimney rebuild. Vincent offered a choice of new or old brick. I opted for old brick, in keeping with my old house. I am very pleased with the masonry work! I'm no expert but I've laid a few bricks in my time and can really appreciate what a nice job it is. Everything's straight, level, well spaced and proportioned. He even topped it with a red clay flu liner. Something my old chimney didn't have. And of course he replaced my old stainless cap which was just fine. It's so nice I wish I could upload a picture here. He posts pics on his website so maybe you can see it there.
Highly recommended!

"Two guys showed up on time and got to work immediately inspecting and vacuuming and snaking the fireplace and chimney flue. They operated form the roof and inspected the entire chimney from top to bottom. Both men answered my lay questions kindly and with plenty of detail about minor and major issues they found and the forecasted schedule of when I should address them. They did NOT do the classic inspect-and-force-you-into-buying-a-new-liner routine and that was much appreciated.  They took their time and did not rush the service or question/answers. They earned credibility and next year or so when I replace the liner, I will call upon them for sure. I recommend this company.

"These guys cared! through any obstacle that occurred a solution was quickly found to satisfy all!! Clean neat and respectful must be the motto of 5 Star. I highly recommend Jeff and his guy Sean. I had a chimney liner installed in my older home and they took care to leave it better than they found it. Some pointing was done as well at the top of the chimney that needed fix. I now look up with pride once again knowing the guys set me up for the next season change !"

"The company that I chose to use was local, and could provide me with many local references within my neighborhood. Mark Jameson have excellent customer service, clean workman, very knowledgeable, explained in detail what they saw, and made suggestions although they were there just to clean the chimney."

"The worker told me that the inside of the chimney had deteriorated seriously and needed a liner.  So that was a significant additional purchase.  Used a different company the following year, and that worker told me the liner was not installed properly.  It is impossible to say what actually is the case.  I do not have enough knowledge to know.

"The worst experience ever. Initial contract signed July of 2014. Requested they wait until end of summer to work as heat was deterent. anticipated work to be done some time in September. Supv. agreed as roofing material had to be special ordered. Three months later no contact from company and initial contact person and one following him quit. Took a day off work and went to office as a deposit of $6,500 was being held already for 3 months with no roof installed. Met with Owner and he said materials were in and would install in three days. His office confirmed. On several occasions initially on contract signing and two other occasions asked for Cert. of Insurance before they start job. Assured me would receive one before work commenced. Three days later workmen arrived at 7:00 am and started tearing off roof. No other materials arrived on site, no dumpster and Supv. spoke very little English.  I called office and told Owner that unless I get cert. I was ordering workmen off roof. Also complained they were tearing off roof with no dumpster on site or materials for re-roofing. Owner said new Supv. would be arriving shortly with all paperwork. Supv. arrived with no paperwork recalled office and told secretary to e-mail cert to my home. This was finally done. No permit was posted, secretary said she had a verbal okay from the Township. Still no dumpster or materials arrived on site. Owner arrived at my home and I complained that all materials were not on the job. He sent Supv. to purchase materials they needed to do the job., nails, roof vent, plywood, soffit vents, ice and water shield. The only delivery made that morning was roofing shingles nothing else.Dumpster arrived later that morning.
The only upside to this project was the workmen. The only thing that saved the job was the dedication, hard work and willingness on the part of the workers to do a good job. If it were not for their workmanship the whole project would have been halted due to the frustrating and unprofessional-ism by the Owner of Roof Magnificent.

"I called the company this morning and they came out today. They were courteous and clean. They power washed by hand and cleaned the gutters. The price was very reasonable for the quality of work. Anthony and Andy were the guys that did the work."
