This is the first daily deal that I've purchased and was more than satisfied.  They guys were great!  They showed up on time, were very professional and most importantly made my wife feel very comfortable.  This is key, as many times she is the one that meets service techs at the house and they don't make her feel comfortable.  She is always worried they will not do what they said they'd do or try to charge her more than expected, etc.  That was not the case with A&A, everything was done to specs and as quoted.  Very satisfied. 

They were very professional and showed up with all the tools and equipment they needed.  I had contracted with them for 6 man hours of work, since there were two of them, they stayed the full three hours.  I was concerned they may not be able to get all the work done in the time allotted and it would cost extra to get it done. Not only did they finish in a very timely manner, they then started doing touch up paint on other base board areas, window sills and a topping on a half wall in our dining!  My wife called when they completed the work and said - "It looks like new!"  I recommend A&A paint and remodel without reservation.

"Jane and her team were the favorite part of my remodel project. They were fair, punctual, hard working and most of all extremely competent. The guys actually doing the work cleaned up after every single day (important for me as I have 3 kids and a puppy) and were quick to respond to any concerns I had. Jane's team even helped me 'upcycle' an old desk I had by beautifully painting and restoring it. They didn't have to, but they even insisted on lugging that huge (and heavy) desk upstairs as they knew how excited I was to have it in my son's room. I could not recommend them enough. "Mike is a very nice guy -- someone that I felt comfortable having work in my house while I was home. He works hard and is on-time. I enjoyed working with him on our project... but he doesn't have the skill or eye for detail that is needed to install tile. He installed most of our bathroom floor twice because there were corners of tile sticking up that we were going to scrape our feet on. We hoped that once he knew we expected the tile to be flat, straight, and with grout lines that were somewhat the same, the quality of work for the shower walls and floor would improve, but it didn't. The shower floor has visible dips in it where water will pool over time. There was no grout between some tiles and huge grout lines in other places. He tried [unsuccessfully] to fix it. We ended up with the shower wall grout applied in random places on shower floor because he got the colors confused. He said that he always leaves the cut sides of tile exposed in shower niches rather than using trim or bullnose, which looks unfinished (see photo). Mike didn't do a 24-hour test to be sure that the shower pan was waterproof, and there are gaps where we are worried that the shower won't be waterproof... We have now learned that a installing tile is a skillset that you probably don't want to hire an all-around handyman to do. Mike said that he didn't think he had the skills to fix the tile and we agreed. We paid him for over half of the cost (and we had already paid for all of the tile and grout), so we lost a lot of money on this project along with the 3.5 weeks that he worked on it. We now we need to hire someone else to redo it because it makes us sad to look at it, and we doubt that it will be waterproof... The tile installers that have quoted our re-do have been shocked. Also, they were concerned that he poured a large cement shower pan in a 2nd floor bathroom instead of using a waterproof fiberglass shower system that wouldn't be too much weight structurally on the house... As I said, Mike is a very nice guy and we feel terrible not writing him a good review, but we are having to redo our bathroom due to the poor quality of work... and we want to caution others from hiring him for their bathroom remodel."
