"DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS, whatever you do! you will regret it as we have $3,000 later and the leak is still there after his professional opinion to change our underground line. in addition his finish on concrete is horrible. upon his advice, paying him 125 bucks, to replace the line we felt why not replace both lines. well after the work was done, come to find out we still have the same leak. will he come and resolve this issue. No. why? because he insists on being paid in advance! what gets us is he never ruled out the skimmer potentially being where in fact the leak is coming from. we feel duked and ripped off since the lines we replaced likely were never the issue at all but instead it was the skimmer all along! how can he have missed assessing this important issue? how do we know this? the pool isn't leaking as we've 100% ruled that out by turning off the pump and there isn't water loss. open the lines and loss of water happens. so, why would he tell us the leak was in the line instead of assessing the skimmer as a possible issue which often is the case. does he lack judgment in properly assessing our issue? we have an in ground pool and the patio is gorgeous, with curves all around the pool in an S swirl shape. his repair after cutting out the concrete pad was very sloppy to say the least and looked like someone who has no clue about expense concrete repair. he didn't use a proper form when pouring the concrete resulting in a bellied outward shape when in fact it should be curved inward. he didn't use iron pins, additionally Jimmy didn't use a trawel to shape it, he also brushed it when it was still wet resulting in material being removed so it has a dip and it having a very jagged rough area and not safe for walking on, he didn't use a wire brush to remove the excess concrete over spilling on the patio. w**. again his catch phrase is "don't expect it to be perfect, you expect it to be perfect". this how he has the nerve to continually talk to my wife using abstract words to justify his sub par work. as if we don't know anything about quality work when all my life ive done construction. but telling him where he went obviously wrong, is not at all welcomed. I could go on how he left mounds of dirt instead of properly tamping down the soil so to leave it leveled, like how it was at the very least. these are things when spending 3 grand you do. he'll do just the minimal and he's very cheap when it comes time to using and going out to get the proper tools and materials needed for each unique job. this is how he saves money, and this is how you get crappy work done. they rush their job in order to make their next 3-4 grand on someone else and without any site of coming back to actually fix it the right way. oh, he'll fix it HIS way, but never the correct way. he doesn't inform you how he'll do the work and when you ask its always vague and not welcomed. he isn't one who pays attention to detail. yes this is jimmy were talking about. so he'll tell you, you don't know anything about the things you do know. we still have the same leak and the patio where he did the fixing looks out of place and like crap. you want your pool to still have a leak hire these guys. they'll replace things you don't need. you want him to take your money upfront before the work is done, hire these guys. you want your concrete patio repair to look like crap and be insulted continually with his catch phrase, hire these guys. it doesn't feel good at all being ripped off 3 grand for horrible advice, work that didn't fix anything and very unprofessional sloppy work."

FAQs for bathtub installation and replacement projects in Marmora, NJ

Most tubs last an average of 20 years, or closer to 10 to 15 if they’re acrylic or fiberglass. If you’re seeing persistent leaks, cracks, stubborn stains, or mold that won’t scrub away, it’s time to start shopping for a replacement. Out-of-date features and visible water damage are other red flags. Swapping the tub now protects your bathroom from bigger (and pricier) repairs down the road.

You should install your tub in a location that complements your bathroom's layout, plumbing connections, and personal preferences. Consider placing it near existing plumbing to minimize installation costs. Many homeowners position their tubs to take advantage of natural light or scenic outdoor views, enhancing relaxation.

Ensure there's sufficient space around the tub for easy access and safety, especially if accessibility is a concern. Ultimately, the ideal spot is where the tub fits seamlessly with your bathroom design and provides the most comfort and convenience for your needs.

Replacing a bathtub takes just one or two days if you hire a pro to handle the job. They'll remove the old tub and install the new one efficiently. If you're considering doing it yourself, be prepared for it to take much longer, possibly up to a month. That's because you'll need to remove the old tub and drywall, install the new tub, repair the walls, and maybe tackle new tiling. Weigh the time commitment against potential cost savings to decide what's best for you.

Converting your tub to a shower transforms your bathroom with a modern and accessible design. The average cost to convert a tub to a shower ranges from $2,000 to $10,500, based on the required plumbing, tiling, and structural modifications. This upgrade maximizes space while boosting functionality and aesthetics in your bathroom.
