"Had a leaky pipe, called Whitman Plumbing in the afternoon. William had a plumber at my home first thing the next morning. He showed up right on time and was courteous and helpful. The work was done quickly and correctly and for a fair price. The next time I need a plumber Whitman Plumbing will be who I call."

"Unfortunately, we have a leak but they said that we can make it through until next year. We appreciated them letting us know how long we would be able to use the current system. They are the best. They are very prompt, efficient, pleasant and knowledgeable. We have been with them for a number of years and can not say enough positive things about them."

"I think the ratings speak for themselves. Water heater went out while I was on vacation. Pipe Dreams came out to inspect and explained on phone what needed to be done. He shut it all down and drained tank. I called when I got home over a month later to schedule replacement. Not sure it was a great price; I only got one other estimate because I really wanted to have the same company who installed original, and it was still under warranty. I knew I could trust him. The other estimate was lower, but I am satisfied with my decision, His price was very close to his estimate and he was very professional. (I can't speak for the quality of a water heater that does't even last 5 years)"

"Darren did a great job. We are going to have them back out to work on the gas logs of another fireplace soon. They were very professional, very quick, very knowledgeable and very helpful. Even their prices were good and we would definitely recommend them."

"We were without power for nearly 5 days during that winter snow/ice storm beginning of January 2014, so our home was below zero thus causing damage to the pipes, some even busted. We found Nick at Quality Control on Angie's List and called him right away so we could have water again. He got us into his schedule during a crazy busy time for him as well the very same day later on that night and got all repaired and water turned back on thankfully. Then, while was here, he went ahead and checked over other items in the house to do a complete analysis of plumbing and informed us that our water heater had been leaking and a couple of the bathroom nozzles were leaking. He came back the following week and installed the warrantied water heater simply charging us for installation and also went above and beyond by fixing the bathroom nozzles as just part of the negotiated deal. Nick even fixed the nozzle in the master bathroom because it was mounted wrong and we now have nice, hot water again in there for our showers. It had been lukewarm water for a couple of years and we never knew why, but Nick knew why and fixed it for us. YEAH! <br /> I also ended up having some heating issues during this same time frame, so Nick and his team who are also great, too, took care of that in a timely matter giving us heat back the very same night. They ended up having to replace the inducer blower motor, which another company quoted at nearly $100 more than they charged me. I'll be posting another review on Angie's List for the excellent work for the category of heating and cooling. <br /> If you are looking for a professional, fairly priced, reliable, trustworthy company who cares, then you should call Quality Control! <br /> THANK YOU! You are now our exclusive plumbing, heating and cooling company we will always refer others to and use ourselves as needed. <br />"

"Eric Geyer is a very competent, nice and efficient plumber. He is a one man show. He is not the cheapest out there but you will always get excellent work at a reasonable price worry-free. Eric ended up having to cut-out the old cast-iron waste pipe and replacing with PVC. He arrived on time at 9:00 and originally quoted $450, spent a little while getting materials, and got the job done before 2:00. The final price was $550 but the job gone done in an efficient manner and I am extremely happy with the work. ---I hired Eric a few years ago when he re-piped my basement gas lines due to a few gas leaks. He also did an excellent job under those circumstances and that is why I went with him this time too."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Martinsville, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
