"Vince from V&C was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.  I would highly recommend him to anyone, and I will be recommending him to my parents and friends who need gutter cleaning and repair work done.  He was honest and upfront about everything during our first phone call, and from his other great reviews on Angie's List, I was confident that he would do a great job.  He gave us a rough estimate of the cost of the work we needed over the phone, as he wasn't able to do an on-site estimate (which I totally understood).  With the cost of gas and travel being what it is, I don't blame him!  Not only that, but he is very busy with other gutter jobs, so he took a description of our house and gutters over the phone, and gave me a pretty solid estimate without having to actually come out here first.  Works for me!
My initial call set up a job appointment about 2 weeks out.  I felt that if he is that busy, then he must be pretty good!! (and worth a little wait) He confirmed the appointment a couple of days before, and also called and texted me when he was on his way that morning.  I appreciate the great communication!  
Vince and his assistant completed the work in about 1.5 hours.  They cleaned all the gutters, spray-jetted the downspouts that needed to be flushed, and also cleaned off the siding on the house in the areas that they worked on.  Vince re-attached the front gutter and replaced some old bent gutter nails with new screws and brackets.  He re-pitched angle slope on the rear gutter, and spray cleaned that one as well.  He removed one section of downspout in the rear and removed a pretty bad clog.  While Vince was on the roof, he pointed out some exposed nails and other roof issues for me, which was very nice of him!  With his leaf blower he used to blow out the gutters, he even offered to blow some leaves off of our patio!  After the work was completed, he even wiped down our porch and spray cleaned our sidewalks and front porch to clean up after the job!  Quick, clean, and professional!  
We are having V&C come back in the spring to install an additional downspout in the front and rear of our house, as we only have 1 per side, and the house is a bit wide for just 1.  They'll also be replacing the last remaining old gutter in the front with a new one (with screw-mounted hidden hangers instead of nails). Vince took measurements while he was here, and we are going to schedule the work soon.   I watched all the work happen, and Vince explained everything he was doing as he went along.  They worked quickly and cleaned up like  they were never here!  Vince gave us a fair price on the entire job, and even offered to give us a deal on yearly gutter cleaning if he comes back next year.

"Because of plumbing work done previously in my split foyer house, large sections of walls and ceilings in laundry room, bathroom and family room had to be cut to replace the drain pipes.  I e-mailed Anthony explaining what I needed.  He responded right away and came to my house the next day to look over the project.  He was very professional and gave me an estimate on the spot, the charge for materials and labor was less than I had expected.  The drywall crew came three days later as agreed.  They were careful to keep a dusty type of work as clean as possible and completed the major portion of the job in one day.  Part of a second day was required for the final sanding and painting.  The workers were very professional and they did a great job.  In fact they went above of what I had expected. "It went great! I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Their sales person( Mr. Williams), met me at the house and showed me several ways to keep the cost down. I had decided on granite counter tops for durability and maintenance but knew very little about the product. Mr. Williams took me to the show room that they use and answered all my questions about the different grades of granite offered. We found a color that blended well with my flooring. I ordered  the cabinets  and was not disappointed, and they arrived on schedule. The installation of the cabinets and counter tops went off without a hitch. I am very pleased with the quality and price that I paid. Next year, I plan to replace my current kitchen and I definitely will use this company again. Very nice and professional!"

From the start, the initial scheduling phone call to Basement Gurus was delightful; the receptionist was very polite & friendly. On appointment day, Dan (the owner) was also pleasant. He was on time, easy to talk to, listened to all my concerns with water management around my property with outstanding attentiveness, and thoroughly devised a well-thought-out plan to address all of my problems. Dan didn't try to upsell me or undercut issues to get a sale. He only recommended what I needed for that moment & for the future to mitigate any further water problems. During the assessment, I couldn't help but get overwhelmed by the amount of work he started suggesting (while also getting that queasy homeowner feeling that I might have to spend a fortune on this), but his estimate surprised me. It was so reasonable for the amount of work needed that I had no difficulties going for it! What made it even better was that Dan could get me on the calendar for a rapid project start date. The team that conducted all the physical labor was respectful, polite, considerate of my home, and some of the hardest workers I had ever met. Even after a long day of back-breaking toil, they still made time to walk me around the work sites to see if it was up to my expectation. Dan would even periodically stop by to ensure the progress was up to his satisfaction, which reassured me throughout the entire process. I took even more solace knowing that Dan backs his company's work-up. He made it very clear that I let him know even after job completion if something was not to my liking. He takes tremendous pride in the longevity & quality of the work, which I respect a lot. Massive shoutouts to Dan, Zeus, Zeus's brother, Frank, the rest of the labor crew, and the office admin team.
