"We obtained several opinions and quotes, and decided to go with Mark and his team because they provided several solutions for the issue: 1) Install pipe underground that connected our sump pump output to a pop-up at the bottom of the yard, so that water from the sump pump could no longer saturate the lawn 2) plant topsoil and grass, so that the water had a place to go instead of just washing the mud down the hill, and 3) redo the concrete step at the base of our walkway with a gradient so that water would no longer collect there. All three solutions worked. We have since had two storms and our walkway has remained puddle and mud-free. Furthermore, Mark was very professional. Proactive communication, arrived on-time as expected. Called before he came by. Mark proved to be trustworthy, and followed-through on everything he said he would do. When the excavator was working, I didn't really understand when he asked if we wanted to "feather" the uneven ground around the pool- so now we have a lot of ground without the grass that was there because the feathering was put over top of the grass - killing it. I got a very professional reminder from backyard ponds in the mail today, and I really appreciate the reminder. Sometimes things like this slip your mind, but it's very nice that they remind you that winter is coming up, and you need to plan for the future.
