"Jim and his team did the exterior painting of my house and older garage - house, trim, shutters, even the flower box. They replaced damaged siding, sanded and filled any places needing it. The finished job is great. Perhaps, more importantly for a contractor, Jim actually responds when contacted and keeps you informed on schedules, project progress, etc."

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"They did a very good job and had a helper vacuuming up the dust as he sanded. This really helped reduce the amount of dust created when sanding the drywall. They arrived exactly when they said they would and finished in about the time they said it would take (3 days, 1 to fix, 1 to sand and touch up, 1 to paint). They ended up charging slightly less than their original quote when the painting ended up being easier than expected. <br />"

"They are honest about things that needed to be done, that he could or could not do. He has a lot going on and so he has to work on bigger project first but that is common. Sometimes if he do not have a big job you cannot really expect to get quick service, that kind of goes for a lot of people. I would use his services again in the future, as eventually it’s the right thing."

"After receiving several bids, I felt that Gold Seal Painting had the most professional approach.  They provided an estimate, we discussed the details and agreed upon a start date.  I chose the house color while waiting for the start date.  They started and continued working every day that weather permitted.   You must be somewhat flexible with outdoor painting because weather delays are outside the control of all parties.  They realized that some of the wood had rotted.  They priced the wood panels and let me know the cost.  We discussed options of using in stock (cheaper, different size and thinner) or special order the same wood that was on the house.  Though it was more expensive, and I did have a tight budget, I opted to go with the special order.  My logic was that they would have to put more effort in fitting and piecing the in stock wood panels which would eat up the cost savings of the cheaper panels.  And I thought it would compromise the appearance.  They had carpenters available that could do the work.  Though I had the option of hiring someone else, it was easier to go with their staff.  They did a great job and replaced several wood panels.  They also primed and painted the pergola.    <br /> I felt that the communication line was very open and available.  When I had questions about the paint vs stain, they discussed it with me until I felt comfortable making the decision.  I felt they partnered with me to complete the job. <br />"

"I was very pleased with the work of Rolen and Sons. When I called for an estimate, he came promptly within a few days at our scheduled time and personally measured the roof. He didn't offer an extremely detailed estimate, but as I compared what he said he would do to the other estimates I received, it was apparant that he just took care of business, rather than a detailed estimate that makes it look like they are doing more work. He was one of the few companies that knew right away when I asked him about how many nails/shingle to install and the exact methods that they use. This is important, because our original roof would have stayed on a lot longer had it been installed correctly. <br /> <br /> His price was by far the lowest. They completed the work, and I was able to get it completely covered by my insurance. His price came in low enough to even cover the deductible so I didn't have to take it out of pocket!! <br /> <br /> They were able to schedule me in a few weeks for the work compared to other companies that were a over month out. When they came, there was a full crew of workers that got right to work. They used plenty of tarps to take care of outside deck furniture and even covered a small, pop-up pool we had! As they worked, he had helpers on the ground picking up debris as it fell, and when they finished, they did a VERY thorough clean up of any nails and pieces of roofing. I was very impressed with their clean up procedure. I had a large job, and 2-story house(3-story high from the back), and they were completely finished in 1 1/2 days! <br /> <br /> I was a little concerned before I hired them about why their price was so low and could get to me so quickly, but all my concerns were put to rest when they did the work. I was very impressed with the job, and am thankful I found such a quick, reasonably priced company."

"Joel was on time and on price with his estimate. His work is exceptional. He does it right or he won't do it. He was more particular than I was and that is saying a lot. The finished bathroom is a testament to his work ethic and sense of design. The job was completed on time and everything was cleaned up and hauled away. This is how all contractors should be."

"Todd made us a table 3ft by 2ft that stands about 2 1/2 ft tall. <br /> <br /> He added a chain for paper towels or dish cloth to hang and hooks for hot pads. <br /> Also has bottom shelf to set things on. <br /> Solid construction <br /> I even have photos, turned out beautiful. Great price, great customer service, terrific workmanship!  <br />"

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Maryville, MO

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
