"I thought the price for a sump pump replacement was very expensive for what I had done (2 men, 2hrs). They quoted the estimate and charged me $1,500.00. Home Advisor had emailed/quoted me a fixed price of approx. 600.00. I had asked to schedule when they could do the job and said they could do it that day, THIS WAS NOT A RUSH/EMERGENCY, but I gave the go ahead because I just wanted this project done. There was no drilling involved (in the well and the wall to drain out). They replaced the sump pump and installed a new drain pipe in the well and attached it to the existing drain in my cellar wall. The gentleman even put the bottom front panel of the washing machine back on, installing new clips all at no extra charge. I broke them when I was trying to troubleshoot."

"Ford from Brewster Appliance showed up on the day and time agreed upon. I bought a stove that needed to be converted from LP gas to Natural gas. Ford changed out the orifices checked the stove, fine tuned the flames and even helped me order a part for a broken ice maker on my fridge. Ford was a nice guy, very efficient , knew what exactly had to be done and took care of the problem. Well worth the two hundred and I will use him again if the need arises. Thanks Ford for a very nice job.

"My wife and I were very thankful for Rob's ability to explain the multiple aspects of each job entailed. This was especially helpful given the house is almost 200 years old. Most repairs were to decades old plumbing to bring it up to current code. In addition, we have hired him to install a new gas range in the kitchen and a large water tank. We will soon be engaging him to assist us with updating two of our original bathrooms. I would highly recommend him for your plumbing needs. "Update as of 4/3/12 - RCA's mechanical seems to be out of business. I was owed a $500 credit towards future work but have been unable to get in touch with them. Rich and his team were conscientious and meticulous in their work. While the project was quite expensive, I feel I got good value for my money. The equipment installed was good quality. I didn't feel pressed to buy more than was needed for my project. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure that everything was working correctly before leaving. I will likely be using RCAs Mechanical Systems for future projects, and would recommend them to anyone looking for an HVAC installation"

When they came out they told me the compressor needed replacing in the refrigerator and it would cost $800.00

plus labor. They also told me I needed 4 new igniters for my gas stove burners. I was quoted a price of $20.00 - $30.00

per igniter plus labor. It cost me $89.00 for the estimate on 8-31-2015. I was told they would contact me when the parts

came in .They came back on 9-16-2015 to repair the burners. I had been expecting a quicker return date. I don't see why it took over two weeks to get 4 igniters. The igniters were replaced quickly and I was charged $181.25 for parts and labor. It seemed to me to be a little on the high side but I didn't question it at the time. When I looked at the receipt later to figure out how much I was charged  for parts vs. labor the receipt was not itemized so I could not tell. My main complaint is that less than two weeks later on

9-27-2015 one of the burners failed to lite again. I would not expect that to happen. I will

have to contact them and hope I don't get charged again to come back out and look at it again. If I do get charged for another house call I will not be using them again.

"My freezer died on Thurs. night, and my regular appliance repair person was out of town until Sun. I contacted several appliance repair companies. Only the Appliance Guy of Cape Cod could get someone to me on Fri. The time frame was 2-4 p.m. The repairman got here just before 2. He worked very efficiently and had the part that was needed on hand. Excellent service all the way around!"

Making sure appliances being worked on are properly functioning and safe to use for customer. The customer should not be telling or begging technicians to perform safety checks on appliances.
