"Shaun and Steve from Boevaag Plumbing called/texted to let me know that they were running ahead of schedule. This worked out great and they were able to start about an hour before the estimated starting time. On an outside spigot that was leaking Shaun showed me how one nut just needed tightening. Leak gone. I had a valve that ran to the kitchen refrigerator. I assume this valve was likely added by the previous homeowner, as it was unfortunately placed after the shutoff valve for one of the outside spigots (so when I shut it off for the winter, no water to the fridge). I had them move the refrigerator valve (they put in a new one) before the outside shutoff valve. A shutoff valve for another outside spigot wouldn't fully shut off. They replaced both of the shutoff valves with much better handle valves (rather than the knob valves that were there). The pipes to the water softener needed to be tweaked to line up with the new softener. They did that, hooked up the new softener, ran it though all of its cycles and showed me how to use it. Shaun also gave me advice on maintaining the unit. The main waste pipe had a joint that had failed, Steve and Shaun replaced the necessary pieces and everything looks nice and sealed once again. The guys took a little under three hours to get my long list of items accomplished. They were both professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I felt the price charged was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend Boevaag Plumbing and will most certainly use them again."

"We had an issue with our water conditioning system for Aquarius. They attempted to remedy the problem and determined they needed to replace the system. With the system being over 5 years old, I was uncertain what it would cost me, however, the only thing better than the equipment they provide is their customer service. No cost to replace with a better system. Now that is service!"

"I had an old water heater (was in the house when I moved in about 20 years ago) and it started to leak. After shutting off the water to the water heater, I did a little Angie's List research to find a company to do the replacement. I called a couple and decided to use Randy Lane, based on cost and my interaction with them, which I felt was cordial and helpful, and made an appointment.
The service person arrived on time on the day of the appointment and went to work. He disconnected the old heater and hauled it out. The new heater was brought in and he did the needed plumbing work to connect the water and also made the natural gas connections. He fired up the unit and briefed me on the new unit - how to turn-off the water and gas, if needed, temperature, etc.
The area was left in the same condition as when he arrived.

They went above and beyond by coordinating the installation of several appliances at one time even though the company we purchased from said we couldn't do that. Michelle, the office manager, was wonderfully helpful in the coordination of everything, and their installers, Oakly and Jordan, did an amazing job of installing all the appliances and took the time to explain the operation to us. "Amazing service! Dan called me about 60 seconds after I entered my request on Angi. He came out the same day to look at my main water line leak and got a "key" on the curb-stop within an hour so we could turn our water on/off to limit the flooding in the yard. Digging to repair the line had to be delayed due to rain, but Dan kept me informed about his timeline throughout -- excellent communication! Dan and Corey came back with excavation equipment as soon as the weather allowed and in just a couple hours, they had dug the 8-foot hole, replaced the damaged section of pipe, and were just waiting for the city to inspect. They had the entire job done and the hole re-filled by early afternoon. Efficient work by two experienced professionals who obviously know what they're doing! Dan was very upfront with me about options (replacing a section vs the entire line) and didn't try to sell me on doing more work than I needed. They were very clear and honest about pricing options, too. I chose to pay time & materials instead of doing a bid, and the total price came in lower than I had expected. I was so thrilled with my experience, I hired Precision Utilities again a few days later for another (thankfully, much smaller) job -- replacing a broken valve by my water meter inside. They completed this second job within 24 hours of my call! I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone. Very thankful I found them!"

"I've probably said this before, but don't tell anyone how GREAT House Doctor's is! I have used House Doctor's several times in the past year and their work is always fantastic. They are meticulous and detail-oriented on every job. I recently asked Brad to install slate tile in a small half-bath. He worked through installing a level subfloor, then laid down the tile to show me how uneven it was. Thank God for Brad! :-) I immediately scrapped that plan and went with nice flat ceramic tile. That's one of the things I really appreciate about House Doctor's: they have so much experience and they are more than willing to give you their professional opinion or guidance (which, I don't know about you, but for me -- that's something I really appreciate so I don't make very expensive home remodeling mistakes.) I highly recommend them!"

"Even though I have read some negative comments about their plumbing's prices, I wanted to give them a chance as I had a fairly good experience on the HVAC side. Unfortunately, I am afraid the comments were right! I called them for a leak in my basement related to a water drain from the second floor bathrooms. Before starting, Matt explain to me he had to go through a "pluming diagnostics" of the entire house and systems that is a flat fee of $497 (based on the age of the house) for: Unlimited Time to find the problem, One level 1 to 2 repair included with diagnostic, performance check, whole home water quality analysis, including chlorine, water hardness, and total dissolved solids, confirmation that system is safe, reliable, and energy efficient, Applies to equipment 6-20+ years old, main drain, water pressure/water temperature over 1500 sqft, tankless water heater. Basically a fee to "find the leak" and anything else that could be wrong in my house in order to give me suggestions for additional repairs that go on top of the "diagnostic fee", unless it is a level 1 or 2 repair that you probably never have anyway...! I my case Matt's listed 3 options: - $4.193 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses, install pressure valve and new 50 Gal water heater) - $1.467 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses, install pressure valve). Meaning $2.726 for the water heater alone. Or $631 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses). Meaning $836 for the pressure valve alone! I told him I could do the machine hoses myself and asked him how much it would be just to fix the leak => $364. That means the charge to change 2 $10 hoses is $267!! By the way, they don't deduct the $79 service call if you are not part of the Membership Program, charge an additional $14 for "Transfer Fuel Surcharge" and didn't discount the $50 coupon. Bottom line my invoice was $497 + $79 + $14 + $364 = $954. Fortunately, I talked to Kristy from Customer Service the following day and got the $50 coupon applied and got an additional $50 off after my open and direct discussion with her. Thank you Kristy. Still, I believe the all process was a bit complicated for a leak and would have to try a different plumber next time. Further more, what's going on with the "Plumbing Diagnostic" fee if they have to come again later on during the year for another issue? I surely wouldn't need another "check" of my entire house..."

"Emailed company for an estimate to repair or replace some interior doors. Got a prompt reply and set up a time for the appointment. The owner assessed the job and told us that repair was all that was needed, not replacement. He also gave us some insight into a future job that we are considering and could consider the company for. The repairs were able to be scheduled within a week and the job was well done. Only snag was a little mix up in the time that the job was to start, but this was very minor. Overall we are very happy with the experience. We very much appreciate the experience level of the people we dealt with (Jim and Tom).

"They spread plastic sheeting on the ground, sprayed the siding, used pry bars to tear the shingles off, and disposed of them in a dumpster. It was an extremely messy process since the shingles are very brittle and virtually impossible to remove without breaking. As shingles crashed to the ground from 2 stories up, they broke further. Since the idea is to not release asbestos fibers into the air, I doubt they succeeded, but I'm not sure anyone could. Given the situation, they did a good, fast job and cleaned up well. There were some stray pieces of shingling left in the bushes but very few considering. Falling shingles broke one storm window and tore another screen. They repaired and reinstalled them without complaint. Overall, it was a positive experience, on a very tough, unpleasant job."
