"Collin was great the house was built 2017 very cheaply had only one torsion spring on a door that needed two and also one bolt fastening the rod bracket to the wall . The garage door would of lasted much longer had it been installed properly when built . Thank you Collin for correcting poor craftsmanship from the original "Cookie -Cutter " homebuilder"

"We reached out to them and asked for a quote to install a Garage Door and Garage Door Opener that we had purchased new. We scheduled an appointment. We had to reschedule twice, but that was OUR fault and not their. They worked with us on the rescheduling. David offered an in-depth analysis of Garage Door Openers, which allowed us to see that the Opener that we had purchased as not the one we should use. We actually saved money by switching it out. The quote that they gave did not change for the Labor. We had a discussion about the possibility of needing some additional track for Low Overhead Clearance but was not sure if we needed it or not. They quoted us the price for what the track would be if we needed it. They arrived on time. Very thorough in the work performed. Cleaned up at the end of the Job and made sure that everything was to our liking. They even went over the maintenance items that need to be addressed on an annual basis. We were very pleased and would not only use them again but also highly recommend them. John R"

FAQs for garage door opener repair or adjustment projects in Mayo, SC

Garage door costs range somewhat broadly, depending on the type you choose. However, you’ll also need to factor in labor costs, which vary from state to state and between pros.

A chain driven operator costs between $150 - $250. For a belt driven operator it is usually $160 - $450. A screw-driven operator is between $250-$500.

To keep garage door opener repair costs down, you should check that the whole apparatus is working normally on a regular basis. This means making sure that the tracks of your door are greased and fully operational, and that the door itself is in good condition.

Installing a new garage door opener runs from $250 to $500 at least. If your repair costs are close in cost to that range or if your garage door is 10 to 15 years old, you should probably replace it instead of repair.

However, it’s a better idea to fix your garage door opener if it’s less than eight years old or if repair costs are less than replacing.

Garage door openers usually last between 10 and 15 years. However, several factors contribute to how long your garage door opener can last. If you schedule regular inspections and practice proper care, you can maximize your garage door opener’s lifespan, saving money in the long run. As a general rule, practice the same care for your garage door opener as you would the door itself.

These tell-tale signs indicate your garage door is going bad, including:

  • Not closing or opening at all

  • The door reversing when you try to open and/or close it

  • Inconsistent opening and closing; more noise than usual (grinding, scraping, or banging)

  • Sticking or stalling when you try to open or close it

If you experience one or more of these signs, it’s time to call a professional garage door repair service.
