"After an already long wait for my appointment, Electramedics rescheduled me twice.  However, once they were able to make it out for the appointment, they are very professional and do an outstanding job.  One of the light fixtures I had wasn't fitting the old electrical box correctly, so after a few attempts to make it level, they took down the fixture, replaced the box, and started again. Very conscientious and thorough.
They apparently have too few electricians, but the ones they do have are very good.

"The technicians they use to service the pools were fine, but their office side was very disorganized.  There was no set schedule for their visits, sometimes we would go 10 days between cleanings, sometimes it was two days.  Twice during the summer we had an algae bloom and it took weeks to get the pool back into usable condition.  I had to call repeatedly to make sure they came back to treat and service the pool.  Billing was a nightmare, for some reason they just couldn't send us a bill in a timely manner, I had to call them to ask them to bill me.  After three months of service they finally got us onto their automatic billing.  I had to call their office manager several times to schedule the pool closing, it took about three weeks from my initial request to when they finally came out to close.
We did have a couple issues with the service techs during the season.  I came home one day to find a brand new pole I had purchased (less than a week old) bent and tossed into our garden.  They did pay for it but there is no reason I should have had that happen.  When the pool was closed at end of season everything around the pool was tossed into the garden and left in a state of disarray, they could have easily placed the pool cleaning tools in a pile and that would have been fine.
From the original pricing I did last season they were on the less expensive side.  The old cliche of 'you get what you pay for' seems to apply here.
I am presently contacting other service providers in the area in the hopes of finding a better group to do this work for us, I won't be contacting Dive In.

"Technician stated hot water heater needed to be total replaced due to normal wear and tear. Hot water heater is initially the hot water heater installed in 1999 when home was built. Choice Home Warranty denied the claim after several years of being a loyal customer, making payments on- time every month. What is the use of having this warranty for times as this and when you need them, they denied the claim? Although the service was good, response time adequate, providing the services needed when your appliance break down and being denied repairs was disappointing and devastating, especially when coronavirus is rampant and you really need your hot water to wash clothes, dishes, bath, shower, and remain sanitary. I am so heart broken because I live on a fixed income and am disable, and can’t afford to purchase a hot water heater at this time. They determined that the water heater was not operating properly as a result of a lack of effective maintenance of the unit. What a crock!"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

FAQs for swimming pool heaters installation and replacement projects in Mcdonough, GA

Yes, you can add a heater to an existing pool. A pro can retrofit a heater to nearly any in-ground or above-ground pool. Adding a heater allows you to start the swim season earlier, finish it later, and maintain a steady water temperature in between. Many owners schedule the job during a larger pool upgrade, but it also works as a standalone project. Professional installation ties the new unit into the existing pump and plumbing for safe, efficient operation.

Most owners switch the heater on a day or two before they plan to swim, then shut it down afterward. Reaching the target temperature can take 24 to 72 hours, depending on pool size and outdoor conditions. Using a cover while the heater is off helps hold the heat and keeps energy costs in check.

Pool heaters can freeze if left exposed to extreme conditions. Freezing can damage internal heater components, potentially leading to costly pool repairs. Cycling water, covering the heater, and regular maintenance help prevent freezing. Sealing or winterizing your heater also protects it during the season—this involves draining water from the heater and its components.

Pool heaters operate with lifespans spanning from seven to 30 years. Gas and propane models last seven to 12 years, while electric and solar heaters perform efficiently for up to 30 years. Consistent professional maintenance and routine inspections extend the heater’s life and improve its performance, ensuring a safe and reliable heating system for your pool.

Before hiring a pool heater installation contractor, conduct thorough research by reviewing online feedback and gathering recommendations from trusted sources. Contact multiple professionals to discuss pricing, request references, and understand the complete installation process. This careful evaluation ensures you select a qualified contractor who delivers high-quality service and a successful installation.
