He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"Repair went well--the man they sent was pleasant and knew what he was doing. He also answered a few questions I had about other projects while he was here. He left the work area very clean, and helped me move furniture back when he was finished. This is a bigger company with multiple workmen and an office staff, so they answer and return calls promptly, which was important to me as I had been trying to get this work done for a while. Price may be a little higher than some competitors, due to overhead--I'd gotten a lower estimate from a local one-man operation for this job, but he never showed up to do the work. I was OK with paying a little more for the increased professionalism. Would definitely use this company again."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"We purchased an 1880's era row home in downtown Lancaster. It had been rental property for many years and needed a lot of restoration. We'd had Lancaster Contracting do the roof last year, and asked for a quote on restoring the second floor porch this year. The porch itself had seen years and years of neglect. It was literally rotting off the side of the building!
They came and gave us a very reasonable quote (we'd had 2 other competing quotes done that just seemed like triage, instead of restoration). We accepted their quote and they went to work. They literally stripped the entire structure down to the original hand-hewed oak timbers  -- the skeleton of the structure, which was still in good shape -- and rebuilt the porch from the beams up. 
The project was a complete success, and we're thrilled with our porch!
The team from Lancaster Contracting was great  - professional, friendly, responsive, considerate, and their work was wonderful. They had to remove the entire original porch - which runs across the back and down the side of our house - and replace the floor and underside of the porch, the porch ceiling, the supports, the railings, the screens, the door, the ceiling fixtures, ornamentation, everything - and we couldn't be happier with the results. Their attention to detail was amazing, and their prices are fair. They were flexible with changes that came up during the project, and were very responsive to questions throughout the process. We felt sad when the project was completed, because they felt like family! Of course, with this being a 130+ year old home, we'll be having them back for more projects.
