Upon his return he was excited to tell me that he found a mail box cheaper than the one we agreed upon and it had a magnetic door on both ends. He dug up the old mail box and post (with a tool I was able to borrow from a neighbor), concreted in the new post and fastened the new mail box enclosure over the post. He also affixed new address numbers on the post. Looks awesome. He carted away the old post and box. A job beautifully done! He also was able to give me both a senior and military discount."

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"Addendum to previous review. To resolve the miscommunication of what was covered, they offered me a discount on another service. I ordered and had installed an electrostatic furnace filter. They were courteous, prompt, and accommodating of my schedule. They made sure it fit and showed me how to clean and replace it. I would definitely use Jefferson's Home Solutions in the future and recommend to others."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
