"Wasser & Wasser Inc are great. They have a cherry picker and tractor to do heavy-duty landscaping. I've used them twice over the last couple of years. They're not cheap, but you get about 5 or 6 workers with big equipment. For what they do, they're worth the money. They took away all the mess. There's not a lot of choices for this kind of service in this area."

"KS Industries Remodeling Contractor worked on setting up a base for a new spa, removing and reinstalling a iron gate, replacing designer tiles on front of house, sanding, painting, replacing beams in courtyard, repairing and replacing rock walls, and installing an iron wrought gate. All jobs were executed with utmost quality and completed in a timely manner. Also, of note is the thoroughness in cleaning up the area and removing all debris after the job is completed. We have had a number of jobs performed by KS Industries Remodeling Contractor and have been totally satisfied with the outcome. I am impressed with KS Industries Remodeling Contractor professionalism, communication skills and the patient ability to take time to explain the process in a detailed manner. KS Industries Remodeling Contractor is our forever contractor of choice and I will continue to ask him to perform future work."

"Joel came to do an estimate and we walked around the property. He asked great questions, listened to my requests and explained everything they would do. They did everything I asked them to do. There were a couple of things I assumed would be done in conjunction with the cactus removal, BUT I didn't specify it. The job was well done and they were very polite and friendly young men. I told them they could come later, and that was fine, but they didn't call when they didn't show on the originally scheduled day. Fortunately I was here when they did do the work so I could pay them! Hence the slightly lower mark on the punctuality. I recommend them. They are busy, so plan ahead a little."

"The crew was excellent. Came when they said they would and stayed on the job till it was finished. I have an odd shaped yard with a large deck, so there was a lot of cutting. The outcome is beautiful and my dogs love it. I had deodorant placed underneath the grass as well as in the grass to stop urine odor. I am very pleased and recommend Easy Lawn to anyone that is looking for artificial grass. They have a large selection of grass types and I feel confident they will recommend the best type for the situation. It is refreshing to find a business that actually does what they say they will do at price quoted. <br />"

"Three small ocotillos ($195) were refused  as being greatly over-priced -- they were so very small that there was no need to pay anyone to plant them -- they could be done with a hand trowel.  Two little apricot trees ($290) were also refused as being overpriced, and with careless bark damage.   <br /> I had hoped to do a much larger project: trellises with grapes, raised garden, additional shrubs, along with some removal of dead material after the cold winter, etc.  His verbal estimates of some of the work were so high, that I found other people to do it, did it myself, or postponed it.  He was not eager to please the customer.  I was prepared to spend a substantial sum if I had found a responsive and knowledgeable provider. I was disappointed.   <br /> Mr. Korody may have been too busy to pay much attention to my project, I don't know.  He seemed very professional when he first came to talk, but didn't follow through well.  He seemed to have little knowledge of horticulture, and little feel for plant materials.  His promotional photos featured hardscaping, but we didn't get that far in my project, so I can't speak to his skills in that area. <br /> If we had had a productive working relationship, cost alone would not have deterred me from continuing with him.  I felt he was unresponsive, perhaps even dismissive, and I was concerned about his lack of interest and knowledge regarding plant materials.  If he hasn't completed the Master Gardener program, I would recommend it to him. I hesitated to do this review for some time, but I think it only fair to others to get it done.I'd like to put in a good word for the two young men who were actually doing the work.  They were hard-working, pleasant, and concerned with doing a good job."

"We ordered a cord of pecan firewood last week and were told it would be delivered at 8 a.m. Monday.  At exactly 8 a.m., the truck was here.  The driver did a terrific job of unloading and stacking the firewood.  It looks very stable and there is space for  air circulation.  When I looked at the pile, I thought my husband had decided to buy more than a cord - there was so much wood!  <br /> <br /> The driver left us with a very nice complimentary 2012 weekly calendar with a notepad as well as a coupon for 15% of pottery purchases (coupon good through Dec 24th)"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Mesilla Park, NM

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
