"Got two estimates for an irrigation water pump repair. Not only was their cost estimate significantly less than other company, but they were able to do the repairs while on site. Repairs were doing quickly, professionally, friendly, and successfully. The costs were extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this company for any water pump services and I will definitely be using them in the future, as necessary."

"The guys who work with Idaho Septic are top notch. I initially got my 47 year old tank pumped. The pump truck operator is a part owner of the overall company. He and his youngest son were running the truck. They had to go down over three feet to get to the lid. After the pumpoup, he showed me where a large boulder had pushed up through the center of the floor of the tank. Pretty obvious it was a LARGE rock. He let me know his sons ran the overall company and told me about the next steps. I got in touch with them and they felt it would be a complete drain field replacement as well. We got a central district health inspector out who advised me that I COULD do the drain field but she would recommend seeing what the tank replacement came up with. They dug the new tank and scoped the distribution box and roots had completely jammed two of the original 3 inch pipes. I checked them with a crowbar later and I could barely get the crowbar in two feet. We went with the new drain field, and they engineeered it with an eye to replacing it a second time later on--they left room to dig another one. I thought that was definitely forward thinking. My ground was harder than a seven year prison sentence. It took a couple of hours to dig the test hole. The inspector approved it and I went in the queue. They took a while to get me done. Something like October to December it sat with the new tank in place but the old tank still connected. This was not a big issue for me--I don't have little kids and i was sick with Covid anyway. They kept in decent touch with me to let me know what was going on. By December, they got out there and started digging the two trenches to replace the drain field. It took them about a week total to get it all dug, inspected installed, inspected and covered. It was complete by 23 December. It was a long project, but remember, i was not in a hurry. It helped me collect enough cash to pay them. at the end. the one thing I would say that could have been done better is they could have alerted me two days before they got here to dig like I asked. I was working at home and they showed up with the first trackhoe. I had to do a little rearranging of work so I could get things open for them. Otherwise they were awesome to work with. My dogs loved the father son team who ran the equipment (another father son team). When I would let the dogs out to take a leak, they would run over and get loved on. Not that my dogs are antisocial. It was just good to see. Final thing...There was an incident--the neighbor had hired a dump trailer driver to move some dirt for her. At some point, my OTHER neighbor's mailbox got knocked over. The dump trailer driver made a big deal out of how it was not him and it must have been the guys on the equipment. They just quietly explained it wasn't them. I looked it over adn my sister reported seeing a white delivery truck miss a turn -- the damage was consistent with a white truck not two black vehicles. It did not matter, because the guys dug and poured and set the mailbox back with a new post. For free. I can amke a court case it wasn't THEIR fault, but they did it to help. So yeah--the price was tough to take. But I got an entirely new septic system for under 20 large. I think it was a pretty good deal. STRONGLY RECOMMEND. WOULD USE AGAIN! Five and a half stars."

"I was impressed by Cory's professionalism, and courteous manner. He quickly discovered the issue with my faucet and repaired it quickly. I thought the price was high for the time spent on the job. However, I would call upon this company again. It's worth paying more for reliable service, you can count on being done right!"

"They have been out for the electrical. They have been out for the pool. They have been out for the sump pump. Its the fee for the service call. We have used them for the last 3 years. If you have an appliance that you think needs replaced they will not replace it they will repair it to death. They are very responsive. Some of the people they send out are great, some are okay."

FAQs for well pump repair or service projects in Middleton, ID

A standard well inspection begins with a visual inspection of the pump, casing, storage tank, and wiring, followed by flow rate tests and laboratory-based water sampling. The goal is to confirm that every part meets safety standards and to identify any necessary repairs before they become expensive. An inspector will also test your water quality for substances such as volatile organic compounds and any local containment concerns.

Book a licensed, insured well specialist for your inspection. Many well‑pump contractors also hold inspection credentials. They’ll bring the right tools to assess the pump, wiring, and water quality, and provide you with a clear report on any necessary fixes. Before you hire, confirm their license, insurance, and recent customer reviews.

Plan on a full well inspection every year. You’ll also want one any time the cap comes off, after septic repairs, or if flooding occurs. Annual tests look for total and fecal coliform; every two years, the lab should screen for metals and nitrates, and every five years for VOCs and pesticides. If you’re buying a home with a private well, it’s essential to schedule a pre-purchase inspection.

With routine care, most wells supply clean water for up to 40 years. Lifespan depends on the type and how well you protect it. To help it reach the maximum lifespan, keep hazardous products far from the casing, ensure the cap stays sealed, schedule yearly inspections, and address problems as soon as they appear. Good habits keep the system healthy and the water safe.

The average cost of well repairs ranges from $100 to $2,800. Your final bill depends on which part—pump, pressure tank, casing, or piping—needs attention and the level of complexity involved in the repair. A thorough inspection identifies the problem, allowing you to budget accurately and avoid paying for unnecessary parts or services.
