"Family Hearth and Patio replaced our deck and did an amazing job. The new deck looks great-- a huge improvement over our aging composite material deck. Paul, the owner, was responsive and worked with us to come up with a design. Their workmanship is excellent, the deck materials are high quality and the whole thing was carefully built. It was not cheap, but we felt it was worth it because the materials used and workmanship were high quality. They built it over the winter and the weather slowed things down a bit, so it took over a month. My main critique is that we did not have a formal design drawing beforehand, just some sketches, so some decisions (like exactly how to position the stairs) were made with our input as the project progressed. A formal drawing upfront would have been better. But in terms of the quality of the result, I don't think anyone could make a more solidly built, better looking deck."

"We got a fast quote from Lee and then even faster response for doing the work. He was already in the area with his machinery and was at our house within 2 days of agreeing to the contract. Patio was done beautifully and we can't wait to spend numerous evenings outside enjoying the fire pit. "When we decided we wanted to replace the wood burning fireplace we had with a gas insert, we contacted multiple companies and were told that we couldn't replace the old one because the opening was too small. Fire Finesse were the only ones who said we couldn't replace the old one because the opening was too small but no reason we couldn't take the whole fireplace (granite facade/mantel and all) and replace it with something else in the process. Obviously that made the job more expensive and complicated but we were totally open to it! It only took one visit to the showroom to figure out exactly what we wanted. The removal of the old fireplace and installation of the new one and stonework went smoothly - it took multiple visits and each time they were courteous and cleaned up when they left. The mantel was built onsite exactly to our specifications (we just showed Scott a picture and it came out as we wanted). He even came back a couple of weeks after the job was done when we had a very strong rainstorm and it was clear the cap they had put on the chimney hadn't been sealed properly. We texted him a few pictures and he came the next day and fixed it. Since then, we had an issue with the receiver for the gas fireplace (the remote wouldn't sync with it). And they came out and replaced it as it was still under warranty - no questions asked. We absolutely love our gas fireplace and the new facade/mantel is beautiful. We couldn't be happier with the decision to go ahead with this project!"
