"I’ve been really pleased with Palencia Masonry. They’ve done quite a bit of masonry and concrete work for me at this point. They built a nice brick planter bed in front of the house, replaced some old cracked concrete sidewalk and completed some much needed repointing on our old house in the fan. They’ve been responsive and done high-quality work. Highly recommend."

"Fantastic. I have never dealt with a company that was so easy for me. Axel and his crew were timely, efficient and never left a mess. Their estimate was very fair and exactly what I was invoiced. I didn’t have to wait weeks and weeks to get my project completed either which was a huge relief. The project looks amazing; it was exactly what we discussed. I would and will hire them again."

"After 5 years of self cleaning my stone kitchen floor and not being able to remove all of the dirt and grime buildup, I finally hired Rose Restoration to professional clean my floor. They did an outstanding job. The floor looks new again! The service technician was punctual and worked extremely hard for 6 hours. It was well worth the price and I will have them back in a few years for another spruce up."

"Leon and his team are genuine professionals that have extensive knowledge of the industry and it’s history. Leon knows how to get the job done the right way without short cuts, yet still manages to work fast and efficiently in completing your project. Upon completion they cleaned up all debris and returned the room as it was; looking as though they were never there. Not to mention, they are just plain good people that are kind and easy to work with. Easter Sweeps is now my first call for anything chimney related or the like, and I greatly look forward to working with them in the future."

"I discovered Graham through a mutual friend who had hired him for a project. After doing my research and gathering several bids, it was clear that Graham stood out. He was by far the most responsive, providing a detailed bid and scope of work in no time. Despite my partial absence due to a vacation, the project was completed in under two weeks. It was a pleasure to return home to a beautifully executed and well-thought-out patio and walkway. I highly recommend Graham for his professionalism and quality of work. I'm hoping to refer him to a neighbor for a similar project!"

"I would definitely use this service again. They were finished in less than 4 hours and removed all of the old door and opener. I have an older home with a nonstandard opening. They were able to adjust to the opening and update everything. Great work <br />"

"It went very well. They came when they said, did what they were suppose to do, cleaned up really nice, & charged us the best price of any of the estimates that I got. Justin worked with us from estimate until finished. If I had any problems or questions, I could call or email him & get a response by at least the next day. The crew were really thoughtful & hard working. I think they had to stay late one day to make sure they finished on time. They not only put up the new siding, but they tore off all of the old siding, wrapped the house again, & put up new insulation board. We were very pleased with how well it went & how great Jacobs Ladder handled things."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Midlothian, VA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
