He said he would need to schedule a day to do the work. Thinking this must be an extensive project, I bought it. Ten days later I finally was called to say they would come that afternoon to do it. After the cleaning they glued dampers to the tops of the flues and were done in about 45 minutes. Al defended his $750/hour labor rate and double cleaning rate, saying it was due to his "high overhead" costs that I didn't understand. I still don't understand. Omega Construction is aptly named, they are the last one you should think of calling. They apparently only maintain their good BBB rating because the BBB doesn't consider "pricing issues" or "buyer's remorse" in their calculations. BBB is basically another way to advertise."

Soon after they got paid we started finding more & worse problems arising from their work than what we originally contacted them for. The floors they ?fixed? were not level and started heaving like a roller coaster, many of the doors do not open or close properly, our finished floors are squeaking & popping up all over and the foundation is shifting & leaking more that it originally did. Twice they sent out servicemen to fix the problems by making adjustments; that only made it worse. There were no cost surprises at the end of the project. They also work with a credit company that can finance the project for a good deal (no interest for 18 months at that time). The team was professional and they finished the work on time (the actual work took about two days). The cost was maybe a bit more pricey than the average, but the job was well done and without extra costs or surprises at the end."

"For the last two months I have been hearing faint clicking or scratching sounds coming from an area near a ceiling light in the living room. I called and scheduled an inspection. I was told that the price for the inspection would be $185. Even though the noise had stopped a week or so before the scheduled inspection, I decided to go ahead with the inspection, thinking that whatever was making the noise would probably come back. Aaron arrived on time. He listened to a recording that I had made of the scratching sound, and he said he thought a rodent might have nested itself in the attic. He then walked around the exterior of the house, looking for areas where a rodent might enter. He also walked on the roof and looked up through the hatch of the attic. The inspection took around 15 minutes. He found one possible entry point on the side of the house and sealed it with material that matched the appearance of the surrounding siding. He asked if I wanted him to set traps near the attic hatch, but I declined since the noise had stopped and the hatch was 25 feet away from the source of the noise. The day after the inspection, the scratching sounds returned. I think I need to find someone who will go into the attic area in order to find the source of the noise."

After the part was installed, the AC still didn’t work. He then said the issue was due to low R22 refrigerant, but also told us that they no longer carry R22 because it's outdated. His solution? Replace the entire unit — at a cost of over $7,000. We end up find someone else to fix the AC. Unfortunately, the $700+ we already paid Randazzo was completely wasted. This experience felt like upselling and misdiagnosis, and we would not recommend this company to anyone looking for honest or competent service."
