They were respectful of my home, great to work with, and did a fantastic job checking my chimney and gas fireplace to make sure it was safe and in working order. They "reset" the hearth, added the necessary materials, climbed a 30 foot ladder in 20 degree weather to check my chimney and provided a very detailed after-action report along with photos to give to my HOA for repairs. "The old fireplace was rusted and had to be replaced together with the flue and the covers at the top of the chimney. The project was done on time and at the cost within the limits quoted initially. There were no cost surprises at the end of the project. They also work with a credit company that can finance the project for a good deal (no interest for 18 months at that time). The team was professional and they finished the work on time (the actual work took about two days). The cost was maybe a bit more pricey than the average, but the job was well done and without extra costs or surprises at the end."

"I am a woodworker myself, but decided to hire the job out due to lack of time to do it myself.  So I called Tom based on reviews here.  He's very pleasant, communicates well, and does quality work.  Before the job, he pointed out a couple areas where the joints might not turn out perfect (e.g. curved corners).  All I can say is that Tom is fussier than I am, and the results were better than I had expected, even in the tough areas.  <br /> My only complaint is that he underestimated the duration of the installation.  He originally told me 3-4 hours total, but it turned into 10 hours spanning 2 days.  Nevertheless, he completed the work on back-to-back days and didn't leave me hanging until he could find time to finish up. <br /> I would definitely hire him again. <br /> <br />"
