"The water company said that the entire meter well needed to be dug up and replaced to repair the leak. Several estimates for that were $2000-$4000. Amanda Plumbing found out from the water company that they could just replace the pipes in the meter well without excavation. However, in the end, the entire problem was resolved by just replacing a couple of gaskets. As President of the HOA, I was extremely happy with their solution and will definitely call them for any future plumbing needs."

"This is our second experience with this company over the past 6 years, both of which have been good. We discovered a sewer backup in our basement and called Mr. Rooter on a Sunday afternoon. Adam C. was at our house a couple of hours later, and we decided to clean the main line with a high-pressure water jet. However, Adam was able to determine with his camera that the problem was not as bad as originally thought, so the water jet was not necessary after all. Adam quickly cleared the line and was able to give us an overview of the pipe structure beneath our nearly 100 year-old house. He was very professional and was ultimately able to repair our problem for about $200 less than what we originally thought it would cost. Hopefully, we will not have to call a plumber for that kind of problem again for a very long time, but if we do, we will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter."

"Phil came out on a Sunday morning to repair a leaking gas line in my basement. After taking a look he quoted a very reasonable price and went to work fixing the leak (threaded pipe connection). I found Phil to be courteous, thorough, and professional. He remove his shoes when entering the house and took care not to damage plants/landscaping when working on the outside of the house. He will be the first person I call if I ever need gas line repairs in the future."

"Job went well. They cut the price of gas line connect because we bought the lugs from them. The tech was able to use some of the existing gas line to save us $100 off the labor. Logs, remote with thermostat, + gas line connection all cost $1012."

"This project went off without a hitch. I called Accurate Plumbing on a Monday, bought the tank ourselves on a Tuesday, and they were out Thursday to install. From start to finish, the job took about 90 minutes and the area was cleaned up nicely before they left. Great experience. Would highly recommend. Thanks to Greg, filling in for Service Manager, Mike, for his quick replies and fair quote. Thanks to Justin, the lead installer, and his apprentice, Logan, for their professionalism and quality install. You were all such a pleasure with which to work. Thanks for making this experience an easy, hassle-free install."

"The exhaust vent pipe to vent the furnace gas outside deteriorated and fell off. All knight replaced a "wye" connection and rehung the pipe. They were very responsive and met my schedule, and they were very mindful of my work/time commitments. The tech needed to run to the supplier to get the "wye" coupler. I was charged $89 for a service call, $40 for the "wye" and another $50 in labor. I thought this was a little high considering he was only at the house for approx 15 minutes to diagnose the problem. He did have travel time to get the part, but it was still expensive given the simplicity of the repair."

"Called Bozman because our hot water tank was not heating very well and we decided to replace it before the tank went out completely. After scheduling this my husband discovered that we had a leak under the bathroom sink. I talked to Bozman the morning that the plumber was coming out and told them about the leak. They were happy to add that to my repairs when the plumber was coming out later that day. <br /> Nice plumber was there inside the time frame that Bozman had given us. He reviewed with us what we needed done, started draining the old tank, replaced the leaking pipes under the sink, hooked up the new tank and removed the old one. Even cleaned up after himself. <br /> New tank is working great and no more leak! <br />"

"I can only say good things about this company. The work was excellent, the tech was very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. When every you have natural gas work done it can be scary, but I have complete confidence that the job was done right. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs plumbing done. They are my go-to from now on. Sorry I could not provide a photo of the work, but I ask them to hide the line as best as possible and they did. So there is no picture to take."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Milledgeville, OH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
