"Absolutely a GREAT experience ! If your like me, your concerned about the contractor that your going to hire. Randy (Father/estimator), Chris (Son/owner) and Cory (coworker) do excellent work. Chris always kept me informed of their schedule and work plans. They answered all my questions and also provided options to complete tasks, that would even make things better, than my original ideas. I would hire Randy, Chris and Cory without any hesitation for any future masonry type of work, or for that matter any type of work they perform. I found them to be honest, caring, ethical, friendly and they do A+ work."

"Mike Normile is an outstanding contractor and I strongly recommend him. The concrete and landscaping work that Mike Normile did here at my home is excellent and has really changed and improved the exterior appearance of my home. He also did extra things free of charge. Everyone who has surveyed the completed job has remarked about its excellence. Mike and his crew showed up on time, worked hard, and were trustworthy and professional. The total project took longer than expected because of weather delays. Mike was always available in the evening to discuss the progress of the work. I was also able to contact Mike after the job was completed and paid for and he came back and did a few little things. This was a big project that I put off doing for at least ten years. It was expensive but well worth the money. I am glad that I finally went ahead and got this work done. Mike Normile is probably the best contractor I have ever contracted with in the 21 years that I have lived here."

"My initial contact with Leelands was 10 years ago. I really admired the work they had done on my neighbors house. I just couldn't afford slate repair or replacement at the time. The employees were always courteous and patient. Fast forward to May 2018, I had exhausted all the patching my roof could take. I contacted Leelands, Donna promptly scheduled Luke to come out for an estimate. Luke was on time and provided honest feedback. I recieved a Photo Report, Field Condition Report and Proposals a few weeks later. It took me a few more months to decide how to proceed. In October, Leelands sent Gabriel and Miguel to make the repairs. They were prompt, courteous and worked diligently to finish the job. After a rainy 2018, my roof is still leak free."

"The cons: Punctuality. Day 1. They called me an hour after they were supposed to be there because the Foreman had a family issue. OK, I understand. Day 2. Perfectly Sunny Day, 88 degrees. They no-called, no-showed. When I called them, they cancelled due to the weather. Then the Foreman calls me personally to tell me that they didn't get the parts in. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! The pros: The job was done right the first time. It's been about 6 months with a few heavy storms and some snow, and there have been no leaks or other issues. Also, the exhaust pipe came out of the house on one of the seams, and they had trouble get the boot to look nice, but they worked until I was satisfied. I will take a punctuality issue over a leaky roof any day :-) Over all, Job Well Done!!!"

"The work was exceptional.  There was a significant structural integrity issue in which the builder had left huge gaps in the weight bearing beam.  This was addressed with a minimal additional cost.  Floors were replaced and they are gorgeous!  These guys showed up every day at 6:45 and worked through until 4:30 or 5:00 pm, always cleaning up and figuring out ways to make the process less intrusive.  They were polite and courteous.  My father and mother live with me, and this team was always offering to assist my elderly father with some task or activity that he had taken on.  My supplier, Lowes, had failed to take care of some important steps along the way, and this very professional crew took it in their stride and addressed the lapses .  They were attentive to details.  At one point in became clear that the wrong gas cook time was ready for installation.  Matt came to me and advised me that he thought it was wrong...good catch, because I would have been very unhappy with the other cooktop.  Each step of the way, the team stopped to make sure that I was happy with the work and made corrections if there was a need (very little need!).  When I was away, I even received pictures of the work. <br /> I have been so happy with the work that these guys have done, that I had them back to do some additional work including a huge painting job.  Steve was awesome!  As always, pleasant, courteous, respectful, and detailed.  Epic is the best and I will call on them again! <br /> <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Millersburg, PA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
