"Brandan and Eli did a great job with the gas connection. They even painted the pipes black to protect them from rusting! Matt and Jacob arrived first to do all the electrical and they were quick and professional. Overall, great service! I would recommend them. We'll see how the service is now that I have it installed. Hopefully no problems, but if there are I feel confident it will be handled quickly and professionally."

"Everything was great.  I called Sharp's because our old system was leaking gas, and they responded quite quickly which I really appreciated.  They stayed on schedule and on budget, did a good job with the installation, and cleaned up after themselves.  I wouldn't use any other company for my heating and cooling needs."

"Nick came out and provided a quote for adding AC to our existing furnace. After examining the system, he said he could install AC, however he stated the old furnace wasn't setup for adding AC and would need additional ductwork (confirmed by 2 other HVAC companies). We decided to install a new furnace/AC combo (80% efficient, 2.5 ton AC) rather than spend money on ductwork for a 20 yr old furnace. <br /> Nick was very punctual, provided good communication, and was somewhat reasonable on the price, although he was about 10% higher than the others. We didn't use Nick because of price - it was for our rental property so price was a big factor - and we found a lower price using a contractor that my sister in law knew and had installed/serviced many of her friends AC/Furnaces. Based on my initial dealings with Nick, I would have felt comfortable installing/servicing our furnace."

"Excellent. He was very nice, professional, and did an outstanding job. We had several other providers look at the job to see if they could hook up a new liner to our wood burning insert. All said we would have to buy a new insert. We didn't want to do this because we're currently thinking about selling the house and didn't want that expense. Tom looked at the job and said he didn't see a problem with hooking it to our current wood burner. He did the job about a week later (had to order some parts). He did an excellent job and we're very satisfied. His proice was reasonable. Luckily he was able to do what needed to be done. About a week later we lost power for 6 days. The fireplace kept us warm and cozy! <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Millington, MI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
