Carlos is very knowledgeable regarding Audio-Video components, and was able to explain my options to either repair or replace the existing system we had. We chose to replace. Carlos also was very patient with us after installation, explaining how the system worked. I feel confident that he will be available after installation to help us should we experience any issues or have further questions."

"Installation went very well. The tech was knowledgeable and professional. Problem was when I received my cc bill. I was billed the $129 Angie's List fee which was to include TV wall mount (mount not include), connect all necessary video and basic audio, neatly dress wires, configure peripheral devices, and conceal in-wall wires. And I was billed $140.49 from HELLOTECH. I'm still trying to get the $140.49 charge reversed."

"I asked Lee for a quote for 2 alternative solutions to install a surround sound and hang TV on the wall, with the goal of removing the components and the TV stand/media center from the leaving room. Lee came up with a much more creative idea to achieve my goal that wan't more extensive than what I asked him to do. Lee was very knowledgable and understands video, sound and system design. I like that fact that he does the design, was on site with the installers while the job was done, and came at the end to fine tune/calibrate my system himself. The result was beyond my expectation. the sound/video is incredible, and the most important thing no media center/TV stand, no components everything is nicely hidden at the top of our coat closet in an unused space. 
Why did Lee stand out from the others?
He was very knowledgeable (I did an extensive research before and all his recommendations were spot on), honest and creative. He was involved in every step of the process His prices were competitive, and he didn't try to up-sell me more expensive stuff than what I needed, or already had. Also, Lee stuck to his final quote even though the job took longer that expected.
Finally, I have to respond to a negative review that someone wrote saying that Lee quoted  $800 for a universal remote. Obviously I wasn't part of their conversation, but I find it hard to believe b/c ALL the quotes I got from Lee were in writing by email and he
quoted me around $400 for a high end remote including his time to program it to my system. It is a shame that people can write inaccurate stuff and effect someone's reputation that way.

"My second appointment with Geek Choice in March went well. The phone call from the office to determine what I wanted to accomplish at the visit is a great idea. I would say that here is where Geek Choice can look for complications. For example, someone who's used a computer at work and at home may still be unaware of some basic ideas. For example, if a device is to be added, does it need to be charged, does the person have the correct cable or battery, etc. Young people know this; older people do not necessarily.
The representative was courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and offered additional tips. He arrived within the time frame specified.

"This was an Angie's List deal for $99 for 2 hours of work.  New England Home Theater did an excellent job mounting my tv for me.  I had the tv and the mount already, I just needed someone with the proper tools and experience.  They were very responsive; setting up and confirming my appointment was a breeze.  The installer showed up exactly on time, and was able to get the work done with an unfamiliar mount in no time.  Would definitely work with these guys again.

This is the first tradesman job I have had done through an Angie's List referral. I am now permanently committed to seeking help from Angie's List. I needed one outdoor light repaired and three additional solar panel lights installed. The electrician James Beckwith with JJl Electric LLC was on time and came prepared with the proper equipment to do the job (many times past workers from other trades have not even had a ladder). He was friendly, asked exactly what I needed to fix my problems, and then moved quickly, but carefully, to complete the tasks. At the end I asked for one change which he promptly and cheerfully did. Before he left, he summarized the job and advised me to keep the packaging for a time in the event that a failure occurrs. He also told me when he would be in this area again and urged me to contact him if I needed any changes then regarding today's job. This company deserves extremely high marks, and I will definitely use them again.

"Joe and Mike did a great job installing the lights. They are courteous and responsive. He asked me to trust him on placement of some lights, but when I thought certain lights should go elsewhere, he also made sure to incorporate my ideas. They finished installing the lights in two days and when I had noticed one of the bedroom lights not turning off properly, I called Joe back and both Mike and Joe showed up the very next day to fix the problem. When looking for a professional, I really value accountability, not only during the process but even after the work is done and the fees paid. Joe is accountable and professional. I will hire him again to give an upgrade to the rest of the electrical in our house."
