"I hired Ricky to lower my iron fence from 6â to 4â . My house was one of eight which he modified in our neighborhood. Ricky was incredibly flexible with scheduling and did a great job. Our fences were uneven when installed originally and they are not straight and level. It was a game-changer for the view and the homes look much classier with the lower fence. Ricky had to work with a lot of personalities in this project and went way above and beyond to accommodate some of the owners."

"I researched custom sheds in my area and Homestead sheds had great reviews. They were extremely professional from beginning to end. They provided an exact estimate on our first phone conversation and we're able to adjust as I changed the dimensions of what I wanted. The team showed up on time and built the exact shed to meet my needs. Overall I had a great experience. <br />"

"I AM DELIGHTED!! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE WHERE THE ARCHWAY WAS REPAIRED, AND THE FOUNDATION CORNER IS LIKE NEW!! MONTY ALSO FILLED THE RECURRING SINKHOLE WITH CONCRETE AND EVEN FIGURED OUT HOW TO STRAIGHTEN OUT THE PAVERS. HE REALLY KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING AND HE WAS WILLING TO TACKLE A TOUGH PROJECT LIKE THIS FOUNDATION CORNER. I AM TRUELY GRATEFUL. THANK YOU, MONTY!!"

"Tony from Indoor Painting is the ONLY contractor we had throughout our remodel that left the place cleaner and in better shape than he found it. He was on time every day and his work was beautiful. He is an artist at matching texture and sheetrock repair as well. We had other quotes from less reputable painters that were more money. So Tony is the best and a fair price! I work in Real Estate and will be recommending him to all my sellers who are prepping their houses for the market. Cannot say enough good things about Tony. He has integrity and pride in his work."

"This company provides exceptional work, clear communication and great pricing. JPR Remodeling got our house ready to sell, fixed extensive damage at rental properties, remodeled our company offices and updated our new home. They made the process seamless and worry-free and their customer service is the best I’ve ever encountered. They demonstrated their expertise in everything we threw at them from electrical to drywall to tile and wood work. JPR exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds."

"I can’t say enough good things about Pete Lewiston and Lewiston & Sons Painting and Construction. I used them for exterior woodworking repairs and masonry repairs. Pete is a very nice, very professional and very conscientious contractor. He is very knowledgeable about construction (he also is a home inspector), has very good people who work for him and know what they are doing, and he oversees every step of the work. Also, Pete is fair and reasonable with the cost of the work. I was so pleased with the quality and cost of the work that I plan to use Lewiston & Sons for a major home remodeling project in the future. Five stars; I recommend him without reservation."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Mineral Wells, TX

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
