"I have cherry stained Kent Moore maple cabinets in my kitchen.  The cabinets had faded pretty severely around the areas where we opened them.  I tried several DIY fixes I found online that only made the cabinets look worse.  I talked to a couple of cabinet companies, including one that came to my home to look in person, who told me that nothing could be done other than refinishing my cabinets to restore their original beauty.  The lowest quote I received was $2900 to refinish my cabinets.  Then, I found Griffith Furniture Refinishing.  They came to my home and were able to make my cabinets look brand new using mineral spirits and many different colors of spray stain.  I was thrilled with the results and the low price of $400.  They went the extra mile and cleaned all of the cabinets as well, not just the portions they had to touch up.  I wish I could post before and after pictures here; the results were so good. <br />"

"<p>I first sent a picture of one of the chairs I needed recovered to get a rough estimate.  I received a prompt response.  When I was ready to have the work done I called and promptly received a home visit with the sample fabrics I requested. They helped my husband and I select a suitable fabric, removed the seat cushions from the chairs and returned them as promised in a week.  They are beautiful.  I'm sure I will use them again.  If you have well made furniture it makes more sense to reupholster since the new furniture you buy really isn't quality anymore.</p> <br />"

"Once I submitted a request for information on their website, I got a very prompt call by the company, a lady, I can't remember her name.  She called within 24 hours, I believe the next morning, after I submitted my request for an estimate late the evening before.  She took my information and said she would provide it to Dick and they would then reach out to come out and do an estimate.  Dick called me within a business day or two, I can't remember, to ask when was good for me for him to come do an estimate.  I was home and anytime that day was convenient so he said he's be over in the next hour or so if that worked for me, it did, so he came on over.  He reviewed with me what we were looking for - which was just new granite counters and potentially back splash, but we were also considering doing the back splash ourselves, due to our budget.  He reviewed details of what were looking for, whether we would want pre-fab slabs, or not, and other details like edging, etc.  He took the measurement and said he would follow up with an email for an estimate.  He sent a formal written estimate over within a day or two.  We only got one other estimate, and while Wood and Stone's seemd fair enough, it was a little higher than the other estimate we got.  We didn't spend time going back further to see if there was any wiggle room in the estimate because we ended up not doing the work altogether due other issues that arose. <br />"
