"Our sump pump motor would not shut off by itself. Ken called back promptly after being notified by Home Advisors and he came out the same afternoon to fix our sump pump. He needed a different kind of pump so he had to return the next morning to complete the project. We can't comment on the price because we haven't needed this service before but it seemed reasonable."

Small jobs welcome

"I searched through Home Advisor for a plumber. My Service Pro came up and Mark called back in 5 minutes. Set a time later that day to install a sump pump. The job was completed in time with better equipment than I had in in the first place. He also installed a motor for an air exchanger that I had but had been unable to find one of the "big firms" to do. He's a master plumber, but also a first class individual. John S."

Customers say: True professional

"Jason was very responsive for my project. We were replacing a toilet, and he offered a complete price, including the toilet, which was very competitive. (Call and ask HIM... I was surprised) Plus he was available right away - which in this case was great."

"Luke, the electrician was great to work with. However, the $644.00 charge for a ten-minute task that involved cutting and reconnecting two wires to replace a photo switch was ridiculous. So, I wouldn't contact Dean again."

"I had a wet basement that had been a problem in my home for years before purchase of my home. The placement of a Sump pump and floor drain tile appears to stop wet foundation walls and floor. The basement now has potential to be nice area of use and living for years ahead. The service is a expensive purchase for homeowner but it is a needed purchase for my home. The finishing job leaves the need with more work if your basement floor was rough from the years of water damage. They did stop any future water damage for my home and it is safe to spend more for more fine finishing. They completed what was contracted."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Mound, MN

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
