From the replacement of our roof to them referring a mold remediation company, to demoing our house, and then putting it all back together, the guys Marty, Frank & Chris who painted, all of it was such a great experience. "The majority of the work was done well. During our time working with the company there was a change in leadership and staffing that slowed progress on the job so that it took them around a month to complete the originally contracted job. However, they were dedicated to only using staff who could complete a quality job. The owners were very responsive by phone, and would frequently come out to check on progress. If we expressed unhappiness about some of the work, they would send someone out to fix the job to the best of their ability. Their painting/plastering work was not especially great, we knew that they could not match the color, however, the patches were sloppy which was surprising given their name. I wish they would have used higher quality materials for the fixtures, but the best of Lowe's is what they used. However, we were allowed to select the fixtures ourselves and they would pick up the item. If we wanted higher quality, we would have had to research, purchase, and pick up the fixtures ourselves and they said that they would install the fixtures. After getting many estimates and working with other contractors, we would use and recommend them in the future, especially if they had settled their staffing/leadership issues."

"Excellent. Doc took the Moen shower control valve apart and found that there was a clog in the hot water valve (cold was fine). He went out to get the part, was back in 15 minutes, and replaced the defective valve with the new one. The next day I found that our hot water heater wasn't working. Doc answered my call (at 6:15 am) and arranged to come to our home on a Sunday to troubleshoot. It turned out that we had an electrical issue, but he helped us get power to the hot water tank so we have hot water and could arrange for an electrician to resolve the separate issue. He made this call at no charge, and was extremely considerate as we had just returned from a funeral and I was, quite honestly, not coping with my home repair issues very well. He is lovely and was so thoughtful, I really appreciate his kindness."

"Hunt General Contracting is very responsive, professional, and communicative. They took care to minimize dust and dings while installing new walls and floors. The old plaster walls and popcorn ceiling looks brand new with their excellent skimming job. The floors were installed without complications. I will be using these guys again in the future for general contracting work.
