"We hired JMR Home Services for a basement finishing project starting around September 2025. Unfortunately, this was a very stressful experience. Communication and project management were inconsistent throughout the job, requiring significant homeowner oversight and repeated follow-up just to keep work moving. Several workmanship and finish-quality issues arose during the project, and multiple items required attention near the end. We completed a walkthrough, paid the full balance, and the county issued the Certificate of Occupancy. Despite this, remaining finish items were not completed and follow-up stopped. Closeout communication became unnecessarily confrontational despite our good-faith efforts to resolve outstanding items and bring the project to a proper close.
