However, they called my husband and kept him up to date on the schedule. We were lucky enough to have a few good days and the crew showed up on time and completed the work over the next few days. Very professional, nice and respectful. The project (two walkways and a fire pit) came out perfect! They completed the job and cleaned up everything--it was like they weren't even here. "The work was completed last week. Fortunately the work was completed before the weather became too cold. The workmanship was excellent. There was great attention to detail. The only negative was the pace of the work. It started a bit slow. However, I understand that this kind of work is subject to changes in the weather and so I did not complain because I understood what the builder is up against. You have to trust that your work will get done as quickly as they are able to finish up other projects in order to devote full time to your project. The outcome is worth your patience. The whole family is very happy with the outcome. Note: We did not spend any extra money to have the "Stampcrete" features. We decided that just a "broom" finish was satisfactory for our needs."

"The bathroom remodel looks great. High-quality work and materials. Caroline helped with choosing the tiles and colors. Her material and color advice was solid. During construction, I would advise reviewing the contract and progress each day. We had a couple small things we needed to adjust. Doug will work with you to ensure your project meets your expectations, but you will have to initiate the conversation(s). Don't be shy. Finally, while you don't need to be present each day, the workers asked me where hang a mirror, towel rack and where the cabinet handles need to go (top or middle of the drawer). It's clear to me that GDR remodels a lot of bathrooms and they know what they're doing. The only suggestion I have is that if the project timeline slips, advise the client what the new timeline is. We had to email and ask."

"I had a great experience with this contractor.  They came when they said they would to give me an estimate, the estimate was reasonable, and after collecting two others I chose them. They then came to repoint my chimney when they said they would, they did the work in the time they said it would take, and the finished product looks great.  They also cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. The job was probably a little more complicated than usual because my air conditioner units are at the base of the chimney, but they navigated around them without any apparent difficulty.  I am glad I used them and I would do so again!
