"The guys came out to assess the situation to replace bathroom vent. They had to go into attic which was too hot to work. They suggested returning the next morning. They arrived early and quickly replaced the unit. I was very pleased with their work and clean up afterwards."

"Jim immediately saw the problem (one I should have seen) and indicated that all I needed was a stop board to frame out the door opening. He showed up early the next morning installed the board. He wouldn't take any money for his time or the board and instead we agreed on my providing a favorable review on Angie's List since that's where I first discovered his business. This was service that far exceeded my expectations. So here's my favorable (hopefully adequately glowing) review.

"They have always fixed the problems that we've had. Frustrations? Delays? At times. We live in a flawed world. But overall, service has been professional and well done. It has always been worth the monthly fee and deductibles. If you consider that most appliances today only last five years or so, breakdowns are going to be a given. Our most recent repair will require at least two service calls and an $1800 part. That more than pays for our entire year's fees."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Mountain-Pine, AR

To select and hire an electrician for your light switch installation, start by evaluating candidates as you would for any skilled position. Ask detailed questions, request a written quote, and verify their licensing credentials. This careful screening prevents unexpected fees and ensures every aspect of the installation, including any drywall repairs, complies with code.

A light switch can malfunction due to compromised wiring or overheating conditions. Faulty connections and excess heat diminish the switch’s performance. If you hear crackling, popping, or hissing sounds when toggling the switch, this indicates active electrical faults that pose a safety hazard and demand immediate professional inspection. Prompt attention prevents further damage and ensures reliable operation.

Installing a light switch takes 30 minutes or less, on average. The installation time depends on the switch type, with dimmer switches requiring additional time compared to standard on-off switches. While the hardware replacement might be completed in 15 minutes, it's essential to adhere to safety protocols, like turning off the circuit breaker and verifying there's no power, for a safe and code-compliant installation.
