"I always use Angie's list and do my research when shopping to get quotes for any repairs on our home.  Air Conditioning and Heating company's in the Hampton Roads area must have more business than they need based on the overall experience of deciding which company to go with.  Russell's Heating and Cooling won our business from the beginning.  Brad the salesman was very professional and on time for every appointment that he had with us.  He came for the initial appointment was very patient as we continued to receive other quotes from other company's over the next few weeks.  He answered all of our questions and took the time to explain the process.  I would recommend that Russell's confirms the day before that are to do an install with what time they will arrive.  I verfied the week before how much time I would need to be available when the crew arrived and was told incorrect information.  I had to call the day of installation because they were 30 minutes past the time I was told.  The crew that came to do the installations (Terry and Andrew) did a great job, worked hard, were very neat and respectful of our property.  Overall it was a great experience.

"Called about leak Sunday morning. Plumber came out Monday, determined it needed replacement and notified Choice, who approved claim and permitted plumber to order new water heater. Thursday new water heater was installed. Was kept updated every day by both Choice and the plumber. Workers left my garage clean and I have hot water. "Aaron really was great.. he mounted my Tv in no time. Most wouldn't install it because it was over the fireplace in a nook, others charged an extra 200 just because it was a nook. I showed him a picture, and in no time it was up and leveled... I also tried to wire my thermostat and really messed it up bad.. he arrived and worked diligently to find the problem. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
