Small jobs welcome

"These guys were great! They gave us the best quote for our siding, and even drive to OH to pick it up from the warehouse so they could start asap. That's above and beyond. They repaired all the rotten wood and there was no detail missed. We work from home, so we got to see these guys work. I don't think I ever saw them take a break besides a quick lunch. We already have plans to hire them for several projects in the near future."

Customers say: True professional

"Jamey does very good work, but communication is a major issue. We began discussing our project with him in May and were told he would provide a quote. On July 17th, he said he would start work on July 21st, but we never received any paperwork to sign. He even mentioned, ?I know I?m terrible at paperwork.? While working in our home, he locked our dogs outside and allowed his dog free range of the house. His dog had an accident on our white area rug, which we only discovered through our home cameras. The kitchen was completed in mid-September, and we signed off with a contingency. Nine cabinet doors did not meet our expectations due to cracks or poor assembly, and we requested replacements. On October 23rd, we followed up to ask if the cabinets had been ordered but received no response. I reached out again recently and feel we are being avoided. The quality of the finished work was good, but the lack of communication and professionalism made the experience frustrating."

"This was my first experience with Mr. Handyman, but I'm sure it won't be the last. As a single homeowner with a busy work schedule, I have a pretty narrow window for getting home repairs done, and the list keeps growing and growing. Usually, things don't get done until they become somewhat of an emergency, and that's what happened with my garbage disposal. It hadn't been working for some time, but I just ignored it (who has time to cook anyway?), until this weekend when it stopped draining altogether. After consulting Google and trying a few things unsuccessfully, I submitted an online request for service from Mr. Handyman on Monday night. By Tuesday at lunch time, they called me back to schedule an appointment for the next day (which happens to be my only day off during the week). The phone experience was extremely efficient and friendly. This morning they called to let me know that they had had a cancellation, so that they could come early, which at first didn't work for me, but when my schedule unexpectedly changed, I called back, and they were more than accommodating, and I was able to have Ron come to my home early. They called when he was on his way, and he was able to fix the problem in mere minutes. Not only did he fix what turned out to be a very simple issue, he didn't make me feel silly for not being able to fix it myself, and showed me what to do if it happens again, and even left me with the right tool to use if I need it in the future! He apologized for having to charge me for a full hour, and offered to look at any other projects I might have. He gave me some good advice on some lighting issues in my living room. I'm sure I'll be calling them again for the rest of my to-do- list! <br />"

"It was pretty good. They came back and redid some work, it was pretty impressive. They came out to inspect the work and they actually redid stuff without me having to pay. I had to wait a few months for them. The workers were good. They need to use a more experienced contractor. I wouldn't automatically go to them but I would get quotes from them."

"Stephen was awesome to work with and his work is outstanding. We are SO happy with our new railings, they make the entire house look brand new. If you need work done in the Grand Haven/Holland area, don't hesitate to go with Northern Lights Construction. I've worked with a lot of contractors and Stephen is top notch. Highly recommend."

"Recently, our house suffered damage from a falling tree. As this is one of the biggest home repair purchases you can make, I came in with a wall built up and not trusting easily. We received a few different bids from area roofing companies to ensure we found the best price and qualifications. Everyone came out and “Did their jobs” but we were most impressed by the professionalism of Andrew Belk. He answered all of our questions, while educating us on what decisions would ultimately affect my family living and my budget. The job was completed ahead of schedule while battling rain/wind storms. The crew was professional, courteous and efficient, cleaned the job site completely and gave us a beautiful new roof. To anyone in need of a new roof installed to the highest standards look no further."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Muskegon, MI

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
