"Our 18 year old AC finally but the dust last year. Kevin and Kenny with Top Shelf quoted us last year (fall 2019) for a full replacement of our HVAC + water heater. AC, furnace, water heater. Since the furnace and water heater were also 18 years old we decied to just replace everything together. They gave us another quote spring of 2020 that was the same. They were also well under their competitors pricing (6 other quotes) and much more thorough with their quote. They actually went into the crawl space to check the duct work, counted the registers, asked about heating and cooling issues in different rooms, triple checked what we currently had and made sure what they recommended to replace would be sufficient and efficient. "<p>In addition to explaining the process as he worked Chris gave me very helpful advice on how to remove an unwanted water softener unit and told me how to determine whether the old plumbing in my crawl space needed to be replaced. While he was purchasing the water heater I went under the house and examined the plumbing. It's good. That was a problem that my home inspector identified, but apparently didn't understand with the same detail as Chris. That was a relief and added a lot of value to the water heater replacement without any additional charge. After he installed and tested the water heater Chris sealed the flue joints with metallic tape as an upgrade to reduce the potential for carbon monoxide leaks. Finally, he showed me all of the places vulnerable to leaks in the days after installation, so I could monitor the situation. </p> <p>Would I use Chris again? The real question is whether I would use anyone else. I wouldn't unless Chris was unavailable for an emergency.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"He arrived on time and was clean and courteous. The bunk bed came with "instructions" but were a real mess. He had THE BEST attitude about the whole thing. It took about 30 minutes longer than anticipated, but he was very transparent as to why (all the bad instructions). He was very careful with all the pieces. It would have take us all day and he knocked it out in a couple of hours and was so pleasurable to be around. We plan to hire him for additional work in our new home. "They've been great! They painted my old house and they caulk everything. The downspouts came down to be painted behind and they were painted separately. The new house had window awnings, that came down to be painted behind and were cleaned before going back up. These painted & cleaned the concrete of the garage at the old house, they painted & epoxied the new garage. Preparation is all important with epoxy and they don't do shortcuts. They installed a utility sink in the new garage with associated plumbing and drywall. They replaced my exhaust fans with lighted ones. I've had them do trim & finish work to the kitchen of the old house. And just recently, they blew in insulation to the attic of my garage; they baffled the vents and storage area, they blew it under the flooring and, as always, they cleaned up after themselves."
