I loved the text message with the pic and profile of the technician. Great idea! Steve was wonderful! He took the time to explain what needed to be done and the cost before he did any work. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional and answered all my questions. I was so confident in his abilities. that I asked him to replace a pressure regulator that I had on my to do list. Again, he took the time to explain why it needed to be replaced and the pressure difference after it was installed. Overall, I was very impressed with Steve and Valdel Plumbing. "Our 1988  heat/AC stopped running Dec 28 2013. Angie's list had a special the previous summer. Unique guys did a $29. checkup on the air conditioner . Nothing wrong, no leaks. We liked their service so we called them Dec 29.  We had a diagnosis of a cracked heat exchanger. The tech, showed us a photo taken with his phone of the crack,  said the law required it be shut down ????  We were semi-prepared for the idea of replacement- 12 years is the crummy life expectancy of these systems-, so we got a diagnosis, specs & an estimate & signed up. On the 30th several guys showed up with portable heaters and fans which did a nice job of keeping us warm. On Jan 2 the crew arrived, put in the new indoor and outdoor equipment and revised some of the ductwork, installed vents to bypass the brick chimney, useless (since 1988) with new high efficiency gas units, rearranged the related water heater venting lickity split, cleaned everything up nicely and off they went.  (I appreciate that they leveled the furnace!) A supervisor came to inspect the work. Minor adjustments were done the next day. We had free maintenance for one year.  These guys are good! Wow. <br /> We didn't shop for price. An ongoing maintenance contract is $390. p.a.  There were several rebates: we had to persevere to get a receipt that enabled us to collect them. Maybe they have cleared up this process. Oddly, the unit on the estimate did not conform to our verbal agreement with the salesman, but the (highest efficiency Carrier) unit they installed did.   Check all your receipts carefully as the warranty as well as rebates depend upon it. <br />"

"A few weeks ago our gas hot water heater died. We had never used Valdel Plumbing before but were extremely impressed with the entire experience. We found them on Angie's list as being highly rated and there's a reason for it. We called them at 7:30 in the morning and by 11:30 AM had hot water and that's not exaggerating! Their specialist, Steve Ault was awesome and very knowledgeable. He quickly got to work dismantling the old unit. He even had a new heater and all the parts on his truck so there wasn't even a delay in waiting for parts or a new heater to be delivered. He also installed a drip pan, a pressure regulator and re-routed some of the exhaust piping for better venting. The price they charged seemed to be in line with the work performed. Obviously, based on our first time experience, we'd highly recommend Valdel and Steve for any residential plumbing work. Thanks Valdel!"
