"Our front door had been damaged by an attempted break-in for years and was getting progressively worse. We were pretty much unable to open it some days last winter. The salesperson that came out was friendly and well-informed. He went through all of our options and we decided on both a new front door and a new sliding glass door to the patio. The front door had many options that we went through which included the style of the door, the inside and outside colors and the style of the windows on either side of the door. He provided us with a quote which we accepted and he gave us what turned out to be a very accurate timeframe of when the doors would be installed. As we waited for the doors to be installed, Bee Window kept us apprised of where we were in the process and we worked out a couple areas in which there were questions. Installation day was scheduled and the installers arrived on time. It took a few hours for both doors to be installed. Before leaving, the installer guided me through opening and locking both doors and answered any questions that I had. They did a great job cleaning up the mess, both inside and outside of the house. The only negative I had with the entire process is that I felt that the price was a bit high. But after having the doors, and especially the new front door, I am more satisfied with this purchase than any other home improvement purchase I have made over the past 20+ years. The door is fantastic -- it closes properly and keeps the sound out and has zero gaps and looks absolutely beautiful."

"When I moved into my home the sliding door had no screen. I couldn't find a screen that would fit at the big box stores because the door was smaller than normal. I called Screenmobile and they made a great screen in a short amount of time. I should have called them sooner!"

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"It was raining so he called to reschedule, which was fine. We made another appointment for the following Monday. He didn’t bother to call or show up. I've used him in the past and he did a good job, but I haven't been able to get in contact with him which is disappointing."

"Both men were pleasant and jobs requested were accomplished. I Would prefer that the 2 individuals who came to our home to provide these services not return in the future. Both men appeared rather unkempt, even dirty. We were their first job of the day, so being dirty due to an earlier job that day was not an excuse. One of them had such a severe chest cough that he probably should have stayed home. I was always concerned about the germs or respiratory infections he might well have released into the atmosphere of our home. General rule: If you are sick, get into a hot bath and STAY HOME!"

"Overall the work was done very well. All staff were courteous and professional. There was some confusion as to the scope of the roof repair: the crew showed up at 3:30 and expected to be done by 5:00 (not gonna happen). After re-checking the bid and looking at the job for themselves, we were able to reschedule and get that part of the repair done in a day. The inside job was much better. The person doing the work was very professional and courteous, especially around my probably overly-inquisitive four year-old."

"Rob and Rick and their staff were punctual and very good to work with. They treated, repaired, and sealed some damaged subflooring and I was pleased with their work. Would definitely work with them again in the future.

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in New Castle, IN

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
