"We had a leak in our water pipe. We first called Tom Drexler on October 16. They could not find the leak. After several service calls, they sent out Jeremy on November 18.. He put a temporary clamp on the pipe to stop the leak and came back four days later to replace the pipe. He was very knowledgeable and professional and got the job done. Thank you Jeremy U. He got the job done!"

"We converted from ceiling radient heat to a gas furnace and also a new air conditioning unit. Kyle Andes, owner, presented three estimate choices (cost levels) to us.  He sat down and explained each one and recommended the service he believed we needed.  Incidentally, it was not the highest priced estimate.  Kyle was very professional, courteous, friendly, and thorough in his explanations. We understood exactly what he was conveying. He suggested an air cleaner and we readily agreed we needed it with our allergy history.  Kyle's employees were courteous and friendly and Kyle and his empoyees were very professional. The gas furnace was installed in the crawl space of the house and there was never a complaint about the difficulty of working in that space.  Kyle checked everything out once it was completed.  Rick's Repair was recommended to us by our son-in-law, who had worked with them on home remodeling jobs. We had three different companies give us estimates and felt that Kyle was definitely the company we wanted working for us. We cannot think of one thing that was not done professionally and with courtesy and full explanation. We highly recommend Rick's Repair for any HVAC need."

"It went very well! Tim came to the apartment and looked at the issue. He told me that he will place the order for the new and more efficient unit than the old boiler and install asap. Tim's crew came the following Monday to demolish the old boiler and installed the new boiler on the same day. The new boiler was up and running on the same day. It was a smooth startup!"

"Not well. It was a young guy who did not bring the proper tools to complete the job. He said that he had forgot the rotor rooter and would need to go get it. Well, some how that changed to him saying that he tried to unplug it with some other piping tool he had but couldn't clear it and if we still wanted it clear, we would need to call back and set it up with John for an additional fee of over $200. I was not happy about this. Me and my husband decided to call a professional well service company and they told us that our well was fine. It was not going dry and what needed to be done was that the well pump had to be replaced. That company was C&J Well and Drilling from Brownsburg. If you have a well, I would highly recommend them, not John & John. We have been customers of John & John for years. They were always my go to plumbing company and I would typically probably rate them an A-B for regular plumbing service. After this apt. though, I could not ever give them a professional rating like that again. The young man was very friendly, but had to stay on the phone with his boss to figure out what the problem was. I don't think it was all his fault. I think they should have sent someone with more experience in servicing wells. I do think it's his fault for not bringing the rotor rooter though. I don't think it's appropriate to come and complete service without the proper tools. I gave the office a detailed explanation of the problems that I was experiencing and feel that they should have at least came prepared to fix the problem. I think carrying a rotor rooter should be a necessary, basic tool to carry as a plumber. Maybe I'm wrong. Just my thoughts. Unfortunately, I will not be able to use them again. I hope they are able to make some improvements to the company."

"When i picked up my vehicle, 2011 Chev HHR, I was surprised that my care required a synthetic oil and that this was much more expensive than a regula oil change.  Brian explained that the manufacturer would void the warranty if synthetic wasn't used.  I am thankful he caught this, as other oil change locations (including a Chevrolet Dealer) did not use synthitic oil. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in New-Middletown, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
