"This is our 8th house obviously we have dealt with numerous professional servicemen over the years. For estimates on these current jobs I had to go to electrician, plumber, painter, drywall men and a general contractor, Not discussing the estimates we were give (outrageous) but each call was a minimum of $125 just to open the front door from each. The standard line was. "Well you have to understand this is the busy time". BS! After looking on Angies list we tried AL Hoppe, Handyman. The ad should read "Handyman Extraordinaire!" After one call Al came to the house. NO COST for the estimate. He was able to make all repairs, some very involved. And stayed within the original estimate. We were very impressed with his knowledge and understandable explanations. He worked for several days and we hardly knew he was here. I from upper New England and am always skeptical. No need with Al. He was truly amazing. There are a few more minor things for Al in this house before we move shortly to a smaller old house. I have already discussed several more projects there and a complete redo of a deck. We cannot recommend Al high enough. Several of my neighbors have contacted him as well for various projects. Up to and including a new deck, and a serious drainage problem. All Hoppe is the BEST!! Take it from a crotchety old timer. Wish I knew about him years ago!!"

"Jam Home Services (Jeff & Crew) tackled my condo, it was a mess. They repaired the walls, did lots of sanding and painted my whole condo. A fella at the Benjamin Moore Store referred me to Jam Construction and I couldn’t be happier. My walls look like butter and I look at them everyday and can’t believe how lucky I was to have found Jam. They completed my condo in a week and it was so nice to see such teamwork and laughter. "Job included paint and carpentry on a 2 story Tudor home. Accepted 5 bids, we chose MHI due to their ability to handle all of the carpentry work required on the Tudor stucco panels and boards. The quality of the painting was excellent overall. While I always expect to follow up with a little touch up or extra coat here or there, I was impressed with how much attention was paid to the toughest parts of the job... in particular, painting along difficult edges such as where existing caulk met brick, or where the tudor panels and boards meet. In my opinion, there is no reason to hire large overpriced companies or inexperienced college painters when you have companies like MHI around."
