Customers say: True professional

"Edgar has done everything from tearing down and rebuilding brick stoop walls and topping with new cement toppers, repointing brickwork on the main house to repairing a very high chimney on a terra cotta roof. He also followed us to our new home in a different county and did timely repairs and topped our stone chimney and acid washed the stone fireplace inside. He is very professional and polite, does great work at a fair price. "

"Absolutely a GREAT experience ! If your like me, your concerned about the contractor that your going to hire. Randy (Father/estimator), Chris (Son/owner) and Cory (coworker) do excellent work. Chris always kept me informed of their schedule and work plans. They answered all my questions and also provided options to complete tasks, that would even make things better, than my original ideas. I would hire Randy, Chris and Cory without any hesitation for any future masonry type of work, or for that matter any type of work they perform. I found them to be honest, caring, ethical, friendly and they do A+ work."

"Val's work is definitely that of a master carpenter.  His latest work was one of 3 projects that he has completed at our home.  He has very good insight and planning as to how a job should be completed at the highest level of quality.  Without question, we will be having Val complete future work at our home and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

"Brick and Lime did a rebuild and restoration of our front porch, basement and front foundation. It was a huge project, involving masonry, concrete, stucco, installation of a sump pump, electrical, grading, and more. They very carefully restored and reused the original porch columns and restored the original windows at my request. They came up with great ideas for retaining the historic character of the home, while also coming into compliance with modern building codes. Jonathan is very easy to communicate with. The entire team is friendly and professional. This project turned out better than I could ever imagine. We will be hiring them back for other projects without hesitation. I highly recommend Brick and Lime for any masonry, stucco, or concrete repair. They do top notch work."

"Keystone did a great job. From the first contact forward, they were extremely impressive -- professional, courteous, knowledgeable, timely -- regardless of whether we were dealing with the sales side, the permitting specialist, the scheduler, or the work crew. The crew worked diligently with obvious attention to detail. The end product looks great."

"I appreciate Elden taking on my basement when the job site was over an hour away from him.  I had closer contractors turn down the project.  Before he even came out for the estimate, he told me when he could start and stuck to that time frame. He didn't work on other projects during mine and was at my home every day until the basement was finished (about 3 weeks.) I was 8 months pregnant at the time of construction, so there was potential for disaster, but Elden was a pleasure to work with. He let me pick out the items that were important to me, and took care of the smaller details I didn't care to bother with. He handled all the inspections required. Basements can be tricky with low-hanging duct-work, crawl spaces, odd shaped closets, access panels, etc. but Elden had creative solutions for every problem encountered. He and his son did great work and I am so pleased every time I'm in my new rooms. I only wish he did carpet too!"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in New Holland, PA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
