Customers say: Quick response

"Have used Joe 3 times now. First to replace 4 exterior doors. Second to refinish some interior paint and trim. Lastly for a complete kitchen remodel. Each and every time he was prompt and very professional with great attention to detail. He has a permanent place in my address book and will certainly be called on again, probably sooner than later."

Over the years, I have had some harrowing experiences when I have faced computer malfunctions.  Just the thought of another telephonic tech support marathon made me cringe.  Until now.  This was the most pleasant computer repair encounter ever.  As I sat comfortably in my recliner, Jim worked his magic on my computer and taught me a few things while he was doing it.  Not only does my middle-aged computer run like a teenager again, I can surf with confidence knowing that he is just a phone call away.  Before you go buy a new computer (as I was about ready to do), call North Alabama Technical Services.  You will be glad you did!

"
It went really well.  I was amazed at the quality of work.  The house is very old and that comes with a lot of bumps and cracks - they really made my rooms look like new construction.  The team was professional and nice and hard working.  I would certainly use this company again - and may when we get our new house.  They were in our home for about a month overall.
If I had it to do over again (this isn't bad, but just something to be aware of) - There were a few communication issues - one part was painted the wrong color, drywall was put somewhere I didn't want.  I think this would happen with any company and Rene was amazingly responsive and fixed all of the issues immediately and was very professional about it.  If I do it again I will make sure that we have everything in writing, every change, every estimate, etc. There was never a problem with it, but it did raise my stress level a little.  Because he's usually in the field he's on his phone mostly but I would always follow up with an email.
Overall - he's just a very nice man and takes a great deal of pride in the work his company does.  He would fix things that just needed to be fixed and always go above and beyond my expectations."

"They did everything, moved it and electrical work. They were great. They are reliable and thorough work the first time. Everything was set up in an 8 hour day and they called in as many guys as needed to get the work done. That was one reason I used them.  I know they could get it done in a day. At one point in time they had 10 guys working on the system to get it installed.  These guys came at 7 o’clock in the morning and they were done by 3:30. They are very reliable, very good work and they kept be abreast of exactly what was going on, when it was going to be completed, if they had any issues and what was going on. I don’t think they were the cheapest, I could have gotten it done cheaper but I paid about $1500 or $2000 more that I could have gotten the system to me. I got a good warranty of 25 years for almost everything."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in New Market, MD

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
