"I rarely write reviews but I have to share my happy experience using Home Advisor for the first time. Leo from Berardi Electrical Contractors is great. I hired him to install smart WiFi dimmers for my LED lights so that I could control the lights in my home with voice commands to my Alexa. I had been trying to get an electrician to do the job for months using my network of family and friends to find someone, but I had no success. I attempted to do the job myself but managed to cause a short which took my main power circuit breaker offline. I did not have power or heat for over 24 hours (in the middle of winter!). I could not even get the dimmer set properly since there was no room in the electrical box due to the terrible work of a previous electrician. After seeing a Home Advisor commercial I decided to give them a try. Leo called me within 10 minutes and we scheduled an appointment for the same day. He stayed in constant phone communication with me because he was running behind schedule on another job, eventhough he was only 15 minutes late getting to my house. Leo did an excellent job. He and his assistant checked each circuit before working to make sure that there was no power. They removed the wiring clutter from each box to make sure that the large dimmers had room. They tested their work constantly. After completing the project, they cleaned each fixture with cleaning solution and they removed all of the debris which was far above my expectations. They even completed my son's chore for the day, cleaning the stairs to the second floor. After installing a dimmer at the top of the steps they swept the entire staircase! It was cleaner after they left than before they arrived! I did not think that it could get any better, but it did. When Leo told me the price it was less than half of what I expected! Leo is very honest, personable, and polite. He asked my permission before entering each room. The level of attention to detail he gave for such a small job was wonderful. Especially since he told me that he typically works on large commercial projects. I will never need another electrician again. Leo is my go to guy. "A few weeks went by and we were not notified of our installation date. I called and was then given a date. They came on time. There was a mis-communication between the initial contact guy and the installers. We expected that a space around 4 window frames would be caulked. The installers did not know about this. I needed to expend some effort to get that addressed, but it was addressed. They scheduled a second appointment to do the caulking. They came as expected and completed the work. In conclusion, they did honor the contract, but it seems that the working crew did not read the contract and come fully prepared. If the foreman was unclear as to what was on the contract, we would have all benefited from him contacting the initial sales guy to be clear as to the details of the job before the work was started. When I clarified this deficiency, they did complete the job as promised in a timely manner."

They keep their appointments, they stand by their work, they return calls in a timely manner and their workmanship was flawless. They removed the air handler from the attic and installed the new one covering the floor and carpet so as not to get anything dirty. When they finished you didn’t even know they were here except for the temperature change. I would without hesitation recommend ECM for any HVAC work you need done."
