"Steve and his employees did an excellent job of repairing my roof.   <br /> Before I awarded the job to River City Roofing, Steve explained exactly what he was going to do and when he thought he could do it.  He is professional and courteous and did everything he said he was going to do, plus a few extra things to make sure other areas of the roof were not compromised. <br /> One thing really stood out when dealing with this company.  Steve communicates very well and if he said he was going to call me, he would call me.  Contractors have a reputation of being very difficult to get ahold of and keep you informed.  Steve did a very good job of this and always let me know if there was a problem or an issue.  He started the job exactly as he said he would. <br /> I am very happy with the work he performed and I would encourage anyone who is considering hiring him to do so. <br />"

"Price quoted was lower than the others to perform the exact same work. They arrived when they said they would, they cleaned at the end of each day and thoroughly after the last day. We have a large roof and it took 5 days. The only issue we have is not with Iossi directly. The company that delivered the supplies cracked our driveway and we were told by that company that they will fix it but after a couple of phone calls we still have a cracked driveway ."

"The week prior we had contacted another local handyman to do the installation, and had he cancelled on us the day of the appointment.  I called these guys and they had a cancellation the following day and installed the fan for us then.  They were extremely professional and even cleaned up after themselves.  We have some smaller projects we want done around the house, and will for sure us them again."

"They did an excellent job you would never know there was a door there. <br /> <br /> **UPDATE 7/9/2015** They were supposed to come back to seal the door off. I called them three weeks later and left a message but did not receive a response so I called them another time two weeks after that. The service provider ensured me that he would send people out to finish the job and seal the door/ make everything flush so all I would have to do it paint. I should have also received a 10% senior discount ($50 on the $500 bill) which I never received. He  said that Angie's List was supposed to pay me the discount which is not true. I felt that was poor professionalism and poor business. In the end, he didn't finish the job and it doesn't look like he plans to finish the job."

"esInitially it started out well but as is typical in this industry, things start to fall off.  He is able to do most phases of construction but prefers trimwork.  The scope of work that we had didn't fit where he wanted to be.  If it was a single job that he was being hired for, I think he would be good.  He did good work but we do a lot of custom stuff and that throws our subs off sometimes.  Super nice guy and I felt that he was trustworthy. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in New Windsor, IL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
