His team took our master bathroom down to the studs and redid everything from flooring up to ceiling (removing popcorn!). Our new design of the bathroom involved rerouting a lot of plumbing and electrical, not to mention the removal and replacement of a different sized window and the interior and exterior repairs to accommodate that. Along the way he was sure to give us his thoughts on design or make recommendations of things we hadn't thought of but was quick to accommodate our desires. I highly recommend Val - and his method of having the customer buy the "things you see" really helped us get the look and feel we wanted. "Overall, working with Titan Contracting was a great experience. Although it did take Erik a bit of time to get back to us with our questions throughout the process, it was certainly not off-putting by any means. He was very professional throughout all of our interactions, from the initial quote to final payment. His subcontractor, Michael, did a really great job on the shower itself. He was incredibly accommodating with our specifications and offered great solutions to any problems we ran into along the way. He was occasionally late, but with commuting from out of the area down to Virginia Beach, it happens more often than any of us would like so it didn't bother us too badly. Initially, I did have a couple of very minor concerns with the shower after it was finished. Michael did end up installing the shower diverter backwards so hot was on the right and cold on the left, and our installed tiled bench wasn't sloped so water does gather there. But it wasn't until a few months in when the grout started caving in a bit around our decorative tile that we decided to contact Erik to see what could be done. This, in my opinion, is where Erik and Titan Contracting's customer service really shines. Erik came out to inspect the issue, determined the problem, and fixed it immediately on the spot with the leftover grout we'd had. I certainly was not expecting it to happen so quickly, and I was thrilled that he was able to take care of it for us, pretty much no questions asked. He also fixed the backwards diverter, although unfortunately fixing the bench would require redoing it completely, so we just have a squeegee to take care of the water excess now (not an issue). Erik and Titan Contracting's great work and outstanding customer service have pretty much solidified that if we need any more remodeling or work done in the future, he will be the first one that we call. "My garage header was sagging and rotting. I was actually referred to Steve Phillips by another contractor. He came and inspected the garage that day and began work the next day. I observed a good portion of the work to understand what was happening. Steve explained exactly why and how water had penetrated to my garage header (poor/improper work by the builders). He completed the work in a little less than and day and a halfâ s time. He was very knowledgeable and meticulous about his work. There were even little pieces of siding that were chipped that he totally replaced even though I was content with hiding the chipped ends by having the undamaged pieces overlap. Our garage and siding looks better than when we bought the house and is more structurally sound and waterproofed than it was when it was first build."
