Veteran owned and operated with over a decade of experience in the demolition and environmental services.
"The 1964 bulkhead I had out back was replaced a year ago, but the wood and insulation underneath (the ceiling of the walkway underground to my basement under the back living room) took in water damage and the area was very musty for years. Tom Morneault of Morneault Environmental was the only guy I could find that would not only treat the wood to remove anything growing on it/get rid of the smell, but his team also removed old wood and insulation and re-insulated for me as part of the deal, which was still hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other companies I talked to, which would only remove the old wood and insulation, they don't put anything back in. Tom's team was here by 8:30 this morning and by 2pm they were done and it looks fantastic and smells crisp and clean. They didn't even stop for breaks or have to make any trips to get supplies, they had them all in the van, including the insulation boards. Very highly recommended if anyone is in the same situation."

SSG, or South Shore Gunite Pools, is New England's largest pool builder. We offer building, renovation and maintenance services to residential and commercial clients throughout New England. Headquartered in North Billerica MA, we have been setting the standard for gunite construction and quality swimming pools since 1975. We are shockingly unique in the way that we build, eliminating the uncertainty of relying upon subcontractors and operating with fully in-house employees. This strategy allows us to take full responsibility for our client's projects.
"Our experience with South Shore Gunite was excellent. A renovation of our pool was needed. All coping stones and tiles were replaced, the bridge between the spa and the pool was rebuilt and the top stair was refinished. A gasket on the pump was replaced and a Vacless Safety Vacuum Releast System was installed. Multiple crews came to our house to work on the pool and everyone was very professional. Communication with Brenda in the office was excellent."

It typically takes around five days for a fully flooded basement to dry out completely, but you’ll want to try to dry it out as fast as possible to minimize the overall damage and potential for mold growth. It also depends on the extent of the flooding. A fully flooded basement will take longer to dry than a partially flooded basement.
To clean up a flooded basement, first have your basement professionally inspected to determine the extent of the damage and stability of the structure. Following the inspection, contact your insurance company. After that, pay for the cost to remove standing water from the basement as soon as possible, which can cost around $1,300 to $5,500. Once the water is removed, you can begin cleaning, drying, and sanitizing.
According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), most flood insurance policies cover cleanup expenses, including pumping out water, labor, mold treatment, cleaning solutions, and more. Many policies also include building coverage, which covers damages for items connected to a power source or installed in their functioning location. This includes furnaces, water heaters, central ACs, sump pumps, and electrical outlets. It’s essential to check your insurance policy to see what’s covered by your plan.
To prevent basement flooding in heavy rain, you can take precautions using various methods to waterproof your basement. Waterproofing your basement costs around $4,800, but avoiding a flood can save you money and hassle. Whether you need a crack repaired, a sealant applied to your foundation, or pipes and gutters repaired, it’s best to seek a professional basement waterproofing company near you to do the work safely and correctly.
