"Had a spill that rendered my microwave unusable (power surge). I called the manufacturer and they would take 5d to come and evaluate the issue for a set fee. If I decided to use them the service fee was not counted toward the repair. Found TheJetFix on-line and called. They were out within 1d, diagnosed the issue and ordered the parts. The repair could not be completed as there was additional damage. They ordered another part and ultimately fixed the issue. This was important to me as I did not want to get rid of a perfectly good appliance and add to the ever growing landfills. Also, a new unit would have cost me more that 2x the repair (Thermador microwave). Arthur and John were great. Both courteous and professional and passed whatever savings they could on to me. Cannot say enough about this service. You will not be disappointed if you hire them. By the way, their service fee was counted toward my repair! Good business practice!"

"Our fridge decided to stop freezing and cooling things on a Friday night. I called Joe on Saturday morning and he came out that afternoon and repaired it. The same day service saved the contents of our fridge. Not only did he replace the broken part but also thoroughly cleaned out all the machinery inside the fridge and the entire area around it in the kitchen. It was an old fridge but well liked and I'm glad we called Joe and repaired it for a very reasonable price instead of getting a new one. I will definitely call him if any other appliance starts acting up."

"I have been using Joe Downey's service for the past 25 years to help me maintain both my own condo and several rentals.  He was also the building manager at the condominium for most of that time, so I am very familiar with the many types of tasks he is skilled at.  In this case I was finishing the complete renovation of an apartment and needed some final details related to plumbing and lighting on a rush basis before a tenant was about to move in..  As usual Joe did an excellent job, and called me in the middle of it to ask how I wanted him to handle a few unexpected problems.  

I have complete trust in Joe and he has keys to my units so he can do repairs when I or my tenants are not at home.  He is always polite and professional and cleans up after the job.  If there is something he doesn't feel he can do well or requires a licensed specialist (plumbing, electrical, etc.) he knows who's good and will arrange for them to do the job and supervise them - including obtaining city work permits if required.

"I could not be happier with the entire experience with Appliance Repair Genie and especially Al, the service repair person I worked with directly. They were very timely in response, especially since it was 2 days before a household of people were arriving for the holidays with plenty of laundry! Al stayed in excellent communication, diagnosed the problem accurately and extremely quickly, went out of his way to get parts from a place rather than wait extra days for delivery from elsewhere. He even offered to work on the holiday weekend so we'd have the dryer working sooner, an offer we greatly appreciated but declined. "I have a Home Warranty with AHS and the Home Warranty company called A-1 Appliance to come out and do my repairs.  A-1 Appliance told my husband many parts were needed and would be ordered and they'd be back in touch to schedule the next visit.
 I heard nothing by 4 days later so I called the AHS and they knew nothing.  It turns out  that A-1 does not work on "sealed systems" but they did not convey that or anything else to my Home Warranty Company who also dropped the ball.  They next called New England Appliance Repair who came right away and also told me they needed many parts.  Instead of waiting days and days, N.E. Appliance expedited the shipment of the parts and they're return to my home so that within a couple of days the repairman Bill was back here repairing not only my refrigerator but my wall oven as well which was way off temperature.  I will tell AHS in the future that I only want to use N.E.A.!"
