"Repaired a very large set of brick steps. I had started the deconstruction and reconstruction but in over a month only completed 20% of the project. In 4 days 3 Brother's Masonry completed the project beautifully and even did some unrelated extra work for the quoted estimate. I agree with all of the other reviews prompt, efficient, courteous, etc."

"It went flawlessly. The three guys arrived on time and made fast work of disassembling our granite slab front steps, by hand. They created a new reinforced base with crushed stone and reassembled the slabs to a new level surface. They patched two concrete retaining walls. Then the attacked the 37-year dirt build-up on our large concrete patio. They cut and filled a few large cracks and pressure washed the surface so that it now looks like a completely different patio. I could not be happier with the completed results of these three too-hard-for-us projects. Excellent work by three very hardworking professionals!"

"I have used Hoyt Masonry for so many aspects of my home in Newburyport, MA. They are the best. Sean is very responsive and super communicative. Their prices are fair (lower than any other quotes), they are dependable, loyal, and ethical. I have had Hoyt Masonry waterproof my basement, put gorgeous backyard pavers down in my backyard, had my cobble stone driveway secured with concrete and my front brick steps fixed. They were able to fix broken bricks in the middle of the steps, and it looks completely restored – amazing. Anthony was such a hard worker. Came over for a solid 8 – 10 hours on a Sunday to make sure everything was finished. Thanks to Hoyt Masonry for rebuilding my old house, one brick and paver at a time!"

"<p>We worked with Sal, who was knowledgeable and very patient, as it took us a long time to decide on the counter material.  We needed two slabs and one of the slabs delivered by the granite company was not the one we had requested.  Sal took care of the problem immediately, to our satisfaction.  He took pains to see that the counters were cut from the portions of the slabs that we preferred. The two installers were also knowledgeable, efficient, neat and pleasant to work with.  </p> <p>Stone One communicated with us regarding every step of the process, and gave us all information in writing. Once we selected the granite and sink the work proceeded quickly and on schedule.  They were always professional and we are very pleased with the end result.</p> <br />"

"Emerson and his crew were amazing.  As an architect myself, I know it can be difficult to find the right contractor for a job.  Emerson worked on my own home, and we would recommend him to anyone.  His crew was extremely professional--they arrived on time, worked very hard all day, and left the site clean and safe.  On the few occasions we noticed a problem with the work, Emerson had already spotted it and had informed his crew how to correct it.  One evening, we watched the crew laying pavers from our upstairs window until about 8:00 pm--they were determined to finish that day--but they cut no corners and the last section completed was as good as the first.  We then (with difficulty) convinced them to have a burger (we were grilling) before hitting the road--they deserved it!  Emerson knows how to build a good project and how to run a business.  We wish him every success! <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in North Hampton, NH

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
