"Terrible company that fights with its customers vs. taking ownership of their mistakes. I dealt with Rob, the owner, because the furnace they installed didn’t fit where the old u it was. Also, my 2nd furnace mysteriously lost power to at the same time my new furnace was installed, yet they claim they have absolutely nothing to do with it. The owner bullied me for full payment, claiming breach of contract if I didn’t pay in full, even though the job was done poorly, the furnace closet door won’t close and my other furnace doesn’t work. Looking at his Yelp reviews, you can see that other customers have been bullied as well. The technicians are nice, but the owner will always deny any wrongdoing on their part. I had to pay in full and now am hiring other vendors to fix Revival’s issues."

"Our heat pump failed. The company that I have been using for AC servicing was not able to repair my heat pump in a timely manor, claiming they were waiting for a part. After enduring several weeks of hot weather in desperation I called Oregon Heating and Air Conditioning. Their bid was much lower and the repair was completed just in time before several !00 degree days were approaching. I wish to thank Clint for doing an excellent job of answering my questions and Sergio most of all for braving the heat of the day and working very hard to get the heat pump going. My wife and I are 75 and enduring heat is not as easy as when we were younger. Both Clint and Sergio are heroes for bringing much needed comfort to me and my wire. Thank you so much."

"Can the very next day during heatwave this summer and had our AC up and running in a very short time. Highly recommend, and if we ever need help again they will be our first call. "

"Absolutely horrible. They will not fulfill the 10 year warranty. They have ruined the roof and it will require a full roof replacement and structural repairs. Do NOT use this company."

Small jobs welcome

"I cannot recommend Steve enough! He is the definition of a professional: always on time, efficient, and his work is consistently high quality. He has handled a wide range of projects for me, from installing new light fixtures and replacing our dishwasher to routine maintenance like changing A/C filters and fixing a washing machine gasket. What really sets him apart, however, is his character. He is so reliable and trustworthy that we’ve even had him watch our dog a few times. It is rare to find someone who is both a skilled tradesman and a person you truly trust in your home. Five stars!"

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in North Plains, OR

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
