We had problems with the old furnace and the owner worked on it, attempting to replicate the problem. A Tech was sent out the next morning (free of charge) to get us through until the new furnace was installed 6 days later. "They came out and looked over the A/C unit. I told him it makes a very loud banging when it starts up and that the company who installed it told us that was normal and it was working fine. Once he was done cleaning the unit, he went to restart it and it tripped the breaker. So he took it apart and found that when it was installed, someone had pinched a wire, cutting the insulation and causing it to short out on the frame of the A/C unit. He fixed that, reassembled the unit and restarted it. It's still a loud start, but not nearly as loud as it was. He informed me that our A/C is a builder grade model and unfortunately it's not the best on the market so it's going to be louder than we would like. Once he was done working on the A/C, he came in and took a look at our furnace to make sure it wasn't hooked up wrong also. Definitely will be calling on Faithful again."
