"They had been out like ten days before, and the issue expanded. I paid eight hundred dollars two weeks before, did not get me anywhere with the five thousand dollar repair. Just disappointed that the inspection and work which was done within an month prior, did not capture the problem. It ended up being so expensive for that visit."

"I signed up for a yearly contract from them.  They are the people I have had for many years.  I get my gas from them so every month I have a bill from them.  I have had things repaired in the past.  If we have their contract we get service right away.  If our heater breaks and it is 20 degrees outside they come right out.  They are quite a company and it is nice to stay with them."

"Wonderfully done work from very stand up guys. The crew is personable and works quickly. Everything that was needed was done and comes at a good cost. We are very happy with the results and would recommend anyone needing any excavation work to go with Brian. All piping looks great, and they did a lot of work in the time that they were here."

"I called Hugo's Plumbing and got a call back very quickly. Was able to schedule an apointment the next day. He showed up when scheduled and went to perform the work needed. My only concern is that he had an assistand and I ended up paying an hour labor for each of them at the full rate. So I paid for two hours of labor for a job that took about an hour."

"I cam home from work one evening col winter evening and found that my house was very cold. I went to my utility room and found that my oil boiler would not light. I called Combined Energy Sericcs and they cam out that evening and got the unit up and running again. The next day the contacted us by phone to make sure the unit was still running okay and if there was any thing else they could do for us."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Northumberland, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
