But note that the going price in this area for heat pumps is significantly higher than in other areas of the country - regardless of which installer I let bid on my home. In my opinion, given energy price trends, the environmental impact of heating with gas, and having existing solar power on my home, the benefits of a heat pump outweighs the high price in this area, but YMMV.
