"After talking to other companies, we were very impressed with the way Mr. Rooter evaluated a somewhat complicated problem. Chris was the first person we met and he was thorough in his assessment during the free estimate. He took great time and checked out all of the options he could consider. The next business day he returned with another representative, Ryan, and they reevaluated the entire project, discussing every idea with each other and with us, until they finally came up with a solid plan. Although the estimate was higher than I expected, it was fair considering all of the work they were proposing. We met once more with Chris to review the plan and accepted their offer. Alex was the leader of the actual work crew and he was very professional and personable throughout the project. He was very clean, organized, knowledgeable, and considerate and took the time to make sure every step was done correctly. The men who helped Alex were just as professional and courteous. "Pipepals plumbing was 10 stars! Choice was 4 stars. They were timely in assigning the job but I had to keep an eye in the website as notifications did not get pushed via email as expected. They also wouldn't cover all the work recommended by the plumber. Essentially I had a broken pvc in an outside faucet and they wanted him to reuse the faucet instead of replacing it. So I would have had a 1/2 in pipe with 2 connectors...to an old faucet just to save $30. I paid out of pocket so it's right but really? Again plumber was AWESOME. Showed early and returned next day to confirm leak was fixed and patched the holes."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
